Whoah... ye olde old post eh?

Hmmm, when you 'force' it that way, I can see only 3..... 2 in the southern continents, one near them (that's what I consider). Care to add?

By the way, do any of you skilled artist care to make picture-quiz (not simply contest)? Looks like somebody likes to examine a pic so carefully s/he can find intersesting things.....

Can you download them from your camera? If you are talking about photographs then digital images can be saved from your camera to your hard drive. If you have regular images then you will have to have them digitized somehow , perhaps at you local Walgreens or other photography developing lab?

Sciforums went through a change before you came here. I think it must be a glitch in the program or something.

Over the years half the story got lost
It was told but they called him a liar.
A story of labor, savior and cost.
Its the story of Jonah and his flier...

Jonah you are to build an ark.
Coat the timbers with nautilus shell.
It will act as an ageless bark.
You will save all of us from hell.

With a papyrus blueprint and ambition
    Jonah set to work.
Toiling from midnight to the noon day sun.
    But there was a quirk.

    The goat ate the instructions.
Lord, I am done said Jonah.
No you are not, where are the engines?
You need it to save the flowers and fauna.

Oh God, damit can't you do a miracle?
I'm not saying its your fault but comon.
An object then appeared flat and spherical.
On the beach were parts most uncommon.

The storm was gathering and clouds loomed dark
The wind of the engine made a peculiar song
Jonah waited for the tortoise before they embark
Could he have waited too long.

Before the door could close a wave swamped the deck.
They glided to the bottom of a shallow sea
By morning Jonah left the air pocket
and began the story we now see.

All the nautilus were lost building the boat.
Jonah was saved by the whale.
The tortoise swam and learned to float.
The ark did not age or grow pale.

Then one day the sea gave up its secrets
the shallow sea was now deeper.
The age is clear from carbon 14 wood cuts.
The story is now for the seeker.

The ark pictures are typical of what can be done with software priced under $200

CGI shows what can be done with studio 3D max for $700 - $2000. The movie Day After Tommorrow was done with studio 3D max.

Software like Render man costs $6000 - $10,000 and does movies like Nemo. It takes two expert people to operate when performing comples tasks.

I just got an unregistered 3Ds max on Ebay for under a hundred but it takes some looking.

I almost boutght a bootleg version at a $4,000 savings but decided against it.

Academic Studio 3D max copies go for about $500 and is good for characters or producing shows like Jimmy Neutron

With a 3d modeling and animation software. Not a user friendly field of art with the exception of Corel Bryce, which is relatively easy to use.

    www.blender.org A free rendering program.
