What about some of the modern punk bands like Anti-Flag, Misfits, The Casualities, Virus 9, Bad Religion, The Virus, ect. I dont think anybody has named some of those yet.

I just had to say I dislike the idea of "punk" and all things relating to that these days. Punk music has just become 20yo boys in black clothing and make-up attempting to be different to the mainstream bands. "Punks", those damn punks. Maybe it's just where I live but all the "punks" here wear black and think they're "hardcore" by listening to pop bands like good charlotte, and cry that no one understands and that they hate being labelled (goddam what do you expect when you purposly dress as those punk bands do) And I refuse to hear otherwise.
Jadeflower, THE CLASH is a punk band !!! Just listen to the first and the second album, listen to songs as "white riot", "complete control", "clash city rockers" etc. People today forget it's a punk band 'cause in their last years, they made also reggay, ska, etc. and hits as " rock the casbah" ... but they are basically a punk band, with punk attitude and music. how can the pistols be punk if they were manufactured? it doesnt matter, punk is incredibly relative, so no one band could ever really be described as the best ever full stop. im sure even someone somewhere believes avril lavigne is punk...... and believes she is the best ever. but you cant knock it, its opinion.

I think your exactly right, i dont know if this is an american site but can i recomend the clash and the stiff little fingers. im sure if u like the sex pistols u should like the stiff little fingers, they are an irish punk band with great lyrics and tunes. if u want to get an album get inflammibe material, this is their first. p.s sex pistols are my fav band Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
