At least this will be a movie where there isn't a happy ending to it where humanity comes out on top. For once I would like to see humanity lose some kind of battle ... which I haven't seen much of.
Wait... the Predators in the Predator movies hunted humans for sport. In one of the previous trailers, it was stated that in the Alien vs. Predator mythology that to enter "manhood," a Predator had to defeat an alien. So, if Predators like to hunt, and they're at war with the aliens, why would they purposefully infect humans with them? And why would anyone go exploring in Antarctica with submachine guns? Bah. I should focus on the explosions, eh?

They are implanting the humans with aliens so that they can then have a 'challenge' and kill the aliens. It's like nuturing your strongest bull, so you can later send it to a bull fight to be slaughtered.
The alien and predator franchise is pretty big. There's games, books, and all kind of stuff. The Alien vs. Predator 2 pc game is one of the scariest of all time.
Ahem to that, you better be wearing a nappy while playing the Marine =P And the Alien Vs Predator series does go back a long time, I think ever since the Alien skull 'cameo' in Predator 2. There was the old Atari Jaguar game too (which I still own actually). And then you got the graphic novels, which aint bad some of them, Prey being one of the best. But then some of them are very crap *cough* Concrete Jungle *cough*
