Has anyone noticed the insane amount dog wagging the Bushies have done?

As we got mired in Iraq, the Right began a media blitz about Jackson's booby.

The recent attempt at deifying Reagan seems to be in response to the torture in Iraq.

    Damn, I know there's more.
Can anyone else recall recent mediastorms over nothing?

You surely must be kidding. That's not even a good conspriacy theory if I've heard one. I would give suggestions but I'm in the mood for facts and not entertainment.

First: do you think that the Jackson boob thing was a distraction from us getting "mired" in Iraq? Quite a poor time to have a distraction, six months after the postbellum problems began.

"The recent attempt at deifying Reagan seems to be in response to the torture in Iraq."

Hmmm... funny how the Abu Ghraib thing broke in April and Reagan died in June. You keep a lot of lagtime between the hyped stories and their apparent cause by the "Bushies."

The "media" is a rather loose term, television or print media please?

This is an utterly absurd post.

I really don't think that Reagan’s death can be attributed to the Bush administration. Look back at Bush's campaign and the popular rhetoric of the time, we had already started treating Reagan as though he were some figure of popular mythology back then, conservatives have been gearing up for this orgy of worship for a while now.

Nipplegate is probably easier to trace back to the Bush administration, and certainly John Ashcroft in particular. Ashcroft is old school religious rightwing, and he knows better than most of us that the human body (especially the body of women) can be an evil evil thing, that's just the tone he's been setting all through out this administration.

In general I don't think it's fair to put all the blame for any of these things on the Bush administration, do try to remember that there are a lot of completely crazy rank and file Republicans out there who are more than happy to carry out their senseless agenda in the name of conservatism.

What about rank and file Republicans makes them crazy? Because they vote for the other party?

Senseless agenda? Why is it senseless? That's right, because it happens to be more conservative than someone elses?
