    Hi

I've been away a while, basically because I've been sleeping to recover from a great festival held here (Lisbon) on Wednsday.

The Line-up was; Pleymo (a french rock band), Static-X, Muse, Linkin Park and KoRn.

Honestly; I thought I'd like Muse and KoRn more than Linkin Park.... but no.

Muse and KoRn completely failed to interact with us as an audience in a sort of "vini, vidi, vici" style, where they come, play, leave.

In terms of Audience/Band relations, the Linkin Park concert was one of the best I've seen (not in terms of music).

They were down in the crowd, they stopped singing half way through a song and asked us if we really wanted them to stay or if we'd all just like the mikes, thank you very much =) hehe.... they were great to watch.

Does anyone like it when the band keeps their distance at a rock show?

I think there should be some kind of interaction.
Otherwise I could as easily watch a video of the band I want to see.

I liked the last In Flames concert I visited. They were collecting material for their live-DVD and just picked someone from the audience, brought him up onto the stage, gave him a camcorder and told him to record the concert.
    I think that´s cool.

Bands who just go on stage and play their tracklist and then leave. they are boring.

No person should like them...it's just against the laws of nature.

Static - X must've been awesome! Always wanted to see them but keep missing their gigs

When I saw Korn perform at their "Sick and Twisted Tour" they put on an excellent show and even came down into the general admission area .

I hope you guys appreciate the effort I am putting in to not insulting people for liking Linkin' Park and Korn. It's taking an amazing amount of willpower!

    Naaah..... KoRn sucked.

I SWEAR that vocals dude, Jonathan Davis, had a REALLY messed up childhood. I recognized a buuunch of songs--- I stayed there from 00:20 when the concert started to 01:10 when they were playing ADIDAS.

First off they have a version of the nursery rhyme; With a nick-nack padi wack giva dog a bone, this old man went rolling home..... with Ring-around the rosies and Mary had a little lamb.....

That is the first sign he is derranged... not to mention his sexual repression, because all day he DREAMS about sex.... obviously not getting any... to the point where he doesn't know your name. So what? Just get on with it.

I couldn't be bothered to stay there much longer. I looooved Freak on a Leash... apart from that, the prancing vocalist in a kilt didn't do much for me.

So Korn played a lot of their old songs then. I only know because a few friends of mine put me through torture at secondary school with Korn. Gah, makes me want to kill them now.

    AND Muse???

    *sigh*

What about Pixies? Smashing Pumpkins? Pearl Jam? Sonic Youth? Queens of the Stone Age? Eels?

Tell me some of my concerts at least are sacred!

I won't ask you to like Lenny Kravitz, or Macy Gray, but those... please... any of those in the top list!

And Lenny Kravitz and so on.... you don´t want to know...

Smashing Pumpkins have ONE good song in my book and that's Zero. The rest, blah to them.

Dreamie, what bands do you like?
