    im drunk, and im happy....
    why do i feel happy....?
    i should always feel happy...
but i dont, unless i drink...
    i could say;
booze brings out the inner me
    but;
that could just be the booze talking...

i had to go into work today becuase i wrote down my sceadual wrong, yet i had started drinking already.... so im driving to work half drunk.... i get their.... im so sociable to everyone, the day goes by faster than i expected.... i felt almost happy to be working....

honestly whats so wrong about booze..........................................
i personaly think alcohal should be as common as SALT

be it, we need SODDIUM to survive
why shouldnt alcohol be in everything, like salt is?

with booze we stress out alot less, we are more sociable... in little amouts, booze is wonderfull!!!

SALT however.... we need it to survive, yet too much of it can kill us, JUST LIKE BOOZE....

    kinda makes u think....

its a stupid idea but i think EVERYONE possible should get a controlled amount of alcohal, daily... for some its a STUPID IDEA, but for poeple like my with a supreame open mind, it wouldnt be all that bad

some poeple have a SMOKE every 2-3 hours, why not a single shot of whiskey every 2-3 hours.... it wont get you drunk but it will make you feel GOOD

i had more to say but... im HAMMERED right now, so i lost my ideas

mind you im saying that booze in SMALL AMOUNTS could actully be benifical in small portions, rather than getting hammered will cause you to discover the cure for cancer

tis odd thinking, have at it

Will you explaint to me what "drunk" actually mean? Do you mean your senses and reasons are not working well? Do you mean you are not responsible for your actions? Do you mean you are prone to do anything because you are not cotrolling what you do? Do you mean the alcohol in the beverage you drank is talking instead of you? Do you mean you can easily be angered?
Do you mean you are happy for a while _ during the time that the alcoholic beverage is still effective in your blood?
Will you explain what your state of "Drunkenness" is?

By having to have a drink to get you feeling right, I'd say that , saddly, your an alcoholic. That is a very bad disease that will slowly eat away your liver, pancrease and other internal organs as time goes by. You also alter your preception of what is right and wrong. By interfering with your natural abilities to function properly you are a danger not only to yourself but to your family and friends. You should seek help from professionals that can help you stop your dependancy on liquer to make you feel "right". Please try and see what I am saying is not a put down but a way to try and overcome a serious problem you have with your life. I do hope that you find good help.

I don't "get trashed" any longer because I have done it befor in my life and I didn't like what I became. My personality changed , first for the better , then for the worse. I'd rather just be who I am without anything altering my state of mind thank you. I don't need to drink in order to feel good, all I need is peace of mind some good music and a book to enjoy. I do , occasionaly, have a brandy or two. They aren't to get trashed with but to just get a little buzz with. Having a few drinks is a far cry from getting trashed and those who do will soon hit the skids on a downward cycle....IMO. Those who drink and drive jepordize MY life as well as their own so I do have a stake in what happens when others "get trashed" and drive around town in a 4000 lb. vehicle.

Ever lose a child to a drunk driver? Then you'll understand more about what drunks can really do to others.

granted poeple are stupid when they are drunk
some of us tho, can controll ourselfs
look at me, i was ripped last night and i was able to type without it "tunbing intpo gabbishi"
for me, being drunk is a feeling for me, i dont get angry or agresive, i do go out and do stupid things, and i dont go talking like a ass and being a jerk, i just feel good and i can tell im hammered when my face starts to go numb-like.

yes alcohal is a depressant ... but i feel good.
i admit i talk a little bit more, but thats a good thing, i keep to myself alot sometimes
toughts come to me quicker and they come out as if i was sober.
i dunno i cant explain it, the more i do the more i sound like im lying, being a ass or just plain dumb...
i sometimes cant explain things in words what i think in my head. 10 shots of rum or whatnot helps be a little, but its still nothing compared to whats going on in my feeble human brain...

and by the way. im very sorry to hear about your loss cosmictraveler. very very sorry.

some poeple are just plain idiots when they are drunk... i go to crowded bar and get drunk.. i cant enjoy myself, all the other drunks are morons. booze effects everyones mind differntly. ive seen the nicest guys turn into jerks and vis versa, the smartest guys turn into complet morons. you at a loud bar everyones drunk but no one there seems to care that you cannot HEAR WHAT ANYONE IS EVEN SAYING. i live in alberta, canada, we got the highest alcohol consumption in canada and the worst drivers in canada.... like i ever heard a add on the radio while i was driving in my car today for "IMPAIRED DRIVING LAWYERS..." really, how low can you get... it unbeliveable what goes on around us. some stupid drunk driver is driving around while hammered, listeing to the radio and hearing this add...

i admit, i might be turning into a alcoholic, but i dont care.... i dont do stupid things like drink and drive, i dont go to noisey bars and pick up total stranger where the only thing you have in common is the TYPE of drink your having

you can get me so hammered right before the point of throwing up and i still wont do something retarded....

poeple who drink and drive are just weak minded fools, who cant controll themselfs
    THEY ARE STUPID
i knew a guy at a party who almost beat up someone over 5$ and then almost cryed after a few friends broke it up....

you wont see that shit happing to me...... i controll myself

    booze is good
    poeple are idiots
    humkind is fucked
    i hate this world
    but i live with it
    reality is good
but so is getting messed up
    but poeple are still idiots

The first signs of alcoholics are thinking that they control the drug , while in fact the drugs are controlling them. Denial is a very real thing when any drugs are consumed. Alcoholic drinks are insidious for they take you over without you realizing what is really going on. Alcohol will destroy you, make certain of that , because it is always available and everyone likes a nice drunk. It's when you cannot control yourself any longer that you lose your friends and family. Good luck on controlling your addiction for no one ever does.

I didn't lose any children of my own but a friend of mine did. He lost 2 children when a drunk driver hit his car going over 100 MPH from the rear. His children were in the rear seat which was set ablaze by the impact and they were burned to death. So please , never drink, even if you can control yourself, while driving. The life you save may be mine!

    Hi:
The matter with alcoholic beverages, I think is "to be or not to be, that is the question."
There are people who like it and those who never try to sip a drop of alcoholic drinks. If you are a true muslim, you are forbidden to drink it. I know a Hadis - a saying by Prophet Mohammad and Shiite Imams _ that says

ut all the sins of the world into a house. The key to this house is wine. So it is
a very dangerous act to do for a muslim.
As far as I know it is not forbidden in Christianity. Christians drink wine at Church ceremonies.
Scientifically, it is said alcoholic drinks are detrimental to your liver. Last year one of our relatives, who drank excessively, died of liver cancer. May God bless his soul.
But there are people who say that a glass of wine every day is good for health.
You see people have different opinions. Buddhists do not drink alcoholic beverages too. I think Buddha has forbidden it.
I, myself, used to drink. It made me happy and the morning after drinking I did not feel good. I kind of felt depressed.
Now a glass of non-alcoholic cold drink gives me a pleasure that it is unimaginable for the one who is used to drinking.
I have a quote from Denzel Washington, the US actor, he says: (translation): I promised myself to totally stop drinking and to avoid doing any acts that stop my controlling of my mind and body. Then all the windows of material and spiritual blessing were opened to me.
May the Lord bless you all and keep you healthy, wheather or not you drink. quack - quack, thanks

do i still count as a alcohlic if im not in denile? sometimes half my pay check goes to booze.... i dont care...

i really rather quit smoking... now theres a challenge....

tho smoking and drinking go so well together

Talking about alcohol, I just decided to get drunk myself. Just made myself a mix of about 10 strong liquors with a bit sugar. Tastes like strawberry sirup but consist of about 60% alcohol. Just smelling it for sometime makes me dizzy. See you later

Its funny how people need to put harmful things in their body to be satisfied. I am just kind of curious if this Canuk really is a drunk, or if he is playing the role to show the stupidity with being a drunk or druggie.

Lemme tell you, the Canadian who started this thread is most definately a boozer.

    cosmic...
Your assertions are anchored in 'subjective' observations. Don't get me wrong, I'm not discrediting what you assert but rather pointing that what you assert is simply your opinion. Do not judge what other people do as 'wrong' or 'right' unless it affects you - live and let live. There's no room for paternalism in todays society.

Well, perhaps our friend the Canadian really does have a problem. Alcohol is an “emotional anesthetic” so to speak. Maybe no one else is around for him/her to be comforted by except the bottle.

I remember reading about a verbal exchange between two politicians in Canada's house of parliament: female member one - 'Mr.MacDonald, you're DRUNK!' Mr.MacDonalds response - 'Your Honorable Member, I may be drunk but you're fat and ugly and tomorrow I'll be sober.' In that context, being drunk is just a temporary physical condition. haha.

    Bon giorno:
An insane person is afraid of a drunk person.
    a proverb I have heard.
    Are you still drunk?
The nice feeling you had that night is gone. You are preparing yourself for another night and some glasses of alcoholic drinks.
Think of you poor liver! Stop drinking right now! Do yourself a favor! Time is running out !
P.S: If you don`t give a damn to what I have typed here, O.K. ! cheers
