I think there should be a main page at sciforums, where you can choose to sign up or go to the forums. This might encourage the guests to register, and become part of the community. There seems to be a big ratio between guests and members, and larger "adverts" to register might help a bit. This has potential to be the best forum on the internet, if a few more people signed up. I did, and am still new, so i suppose i might not be one to talk, but I thought it might be worth mentioning. The Sox
I'd think that many people don't want to ever sign up because they would rather just learn from our disscussions about the various subjects. They also don't want to have a tracking bot or other data miner put onto their PC's. Perhaps this site doesn't have them but many sites do and they won't take a chance. They don't want junk E-mail sent to them either and that's a big problem today when you give out your E-mail addy! One other thing, the CIA or other government group wants to spy on all of our discussions so they won't ever want to be known.

I find that when good things show, such as sciforums, the word is spread. I found this website through a stranger I met in a chess room. Then I passed it to a friend of mine and plan to invite more people. I don't scirforums really needs a whole a publicity, just time.
