I forsee a forbearance comming into fruition that will be derived from the overtaking of the foreign oil companies that will forever reverberate in the form of a much stronger economic empire but will only come to pass when it is under siege by the dominant world powers & their allies.
(This I believe will soon come to pass in the midst of the latest trajedy sufficed by those who suffered great loss from the recent bombing & hijacking crisis in DC & NY)

My prayers go out to all those who lost their lives in this most
horrific trajedy, also my deepest condolences to those of you whom might have lost a family member from this crime of the century, many of us are still looking, and you all have my most deepest concern, as we was in search of our own daughter during the midst of this, and since have located her. My thoughts continue to remain with those whom are still missing as well as those who suffer loss from their departed.

    (...a moment of silence please--------------------

When the new world powers emerge from the ashes,
(I Strongly believe), there will be a brave new world which will seperate itself from those policies that supressed our evolutionary progression to not only develop, but remove the supression of barriers that prevented this technology from moving forward in the first place. This new emerging economy will not stand for the old dogmatic methodologies of "Business as Usual" and adopt new polocies that reflect the interests of our ideals to move forward with alternative energy solutions that don't rely on fossil fuels, not to be alarmed though, as fossil fules will relocate most of it usefulness within the textile indutry.

Adapt & Overcome is part of the process on the road to recovery.

I hope you're right about that, Time. It's the only "good" thing I can imagine coming out of this. I have to admit I've been pleasantly surprised by most of the americans I've heard speaking on the radio/television. But I also have to admit I'm still very suspiscious of the members of our government.

    Time/02112,
I am glad things have worked out for your family and result in collective safety for you and yours. I wish all were so lucky but we know that will not be.

What you have expressed in a new world order is indeed my wish. But business as usual includes the nuts that pull this atrocity. It is indeed my wish that this cease. The only way that it will cease is to see that there is no safe harbor for those with such "talents". That no one will support those with such radical ideas. The only way that will happen is if they are shown that is at the peril of their civilization and all that they hold dear to continue. If you could talk reason then this would not have happened in the first place. You can not reason with a fanatic. These extremists must go. And as far as I am concerned from the face of the earth would not be a bad idea.

Welcome to Sciforums felix. In other times your welcome would have been more cordial.

    The fanatics of revenge...

    ...are you one of them?

We can indeed grow from this, but not with violence but with compassion, it´s an individual choice that has to be made.

And your individual choice adds up to how the future world will be.

    A world of violence?
    A world of compassion?

    It´s your choice.

Bebelina, I think that showing compassion to the people who did this would in fact lead to more violence in the way of having more landmarks and people destroyed.

The fact that a person could do this with two years preparation and not back out shows that they are capable of doing something like this again. They must be stopped.

Compassion means nothing if the people who did this have no heart.

Understand, normally I would not see anyone hurt and would indeed argue for sensable dealing. But these are not normal times and these are not sensible people. In such you must apply pressure to those who harbor and give refuge to such people. They must be made to userstand that this will not be tolerated. I could say it stronger but it would come down to the same point.
The finanical backers are just as guilty as those who flew the planes into their targets. So are the governments who resist any effort to round up those proven to be involved.

I think compassion may be good approach, actually. Part of me would like to strike back at whoever is responsible even though I know that simple violence is not going to fix the underlying problems that cause "terrorists" to sprout up.

I'm also well aware that the US government has participated in the training and supplying of terrorists all over the world. Hell, we have military units within our special forces whose training centers around the covert training of rebels, guerillas and terrorists in other countries. In fact, while I was serving in US navy, I began to think we may be single handedly responsible for the constant coups that take place in the countries of South America. I won't go into it further, because giving any details as to why I believe this would mean breaking oaths I've freely given. But have no doubts, a large part of the buisiness of America is keeping other countries unstable, because it makes it easier for us to take advantage of their people and resources.

I say again, the problems go much deeper than planes being flown into buildings or bombs being dropped on innocent people. And not just in the US. The people of world have a deeply rooted, self-inflicted, self-perpetuating sickness. The real issues we need to face have been clouded for a very long time, and unfortunately I think recent events have only served to thicken the clouds.

I am sorry to say, that is the result and not the cause. Let the truth be told the way it really is. To start with US, does not cause problems around the globe. We become rich and powerful simply because the best brains from all over the planet come here to be free. USA is a country of immigrants. And if you look closely at Technology companies, behind them are people from many different countries. All of them work together because they believe in a society of freedom and equal opportunity which they did not have in their home country. Nobody forced them to come here.

Now that we are successful, every ill around the world is blamed on us as if we somehow caused it. I have posted manytimes about this. It is the British empire that was taking advantage of "their people and resources". We do not have to. Our country is very large, we have plenty of resouces - and most importantly we have plenty of brain power.

So, the bottom line is , we should do more to dispel this perception. We should not close our eyes to problems elsewhere. With power comes responsibility. We should exercise good judgement.

But saying it is our fault somehow? that is seer stupidity!

Unfortunately there is more violence in this recent method.
***WHERE WILL THE SHIFT OF WEALTH GO???
Global economies are manipulated to maintain power among a select few and they will intern perpetuate there existence and justify it as necessary.
HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE BEEN KILLED BY FAULTY PRODUCTS OR LAPSES IN SAFTY STANDARDS, where a company practice has been blamed?

WHOs to say that next week an A.I might test dive a passenger get into the ground?
i mention this mearly as a refference to the vast expanse of possibilities that are now around us to which we might be completely techno blind to comprehend.

for 50 billion i would expect to know what ben-larden is eating for breakfast!
    whats in it,
and who grew it for him!!!

I WONDER IF WE WILL EVER KNOW WHAT IS REALY GOING ON?

again my heart and thoughts go out to all the victims and their families.

You have a much more optimistic view of our government AND buisiness people than I do, kmguru. I must admit that I wholeheartedly agree with your "bottom line". The thing is, is that to do dispel that perception, we'll have to make it untrue. And to date, it has not been untrue. We DO close our eyes to problems elsewhere. And the range of our "good" judgement encompasses financial decisions LONG before it encompasses humanitarian decisions. You're right, with power comes responsibility, but we have not accepted the responsibility, only sought the power.

And does it really make any difference whether we take advantage of an already-existing bad situation or create or sustain a bad situation in another country so that we CAN take advantage of it?

Yes, we value our freedom. But we have not shown that we give a flying rat's ass about anyone else's freedom.

Have you considered that we have some of the best minds from all over the world because we basically steal them? Or just give them help getting out of a bad situation where we ignore or inflate the situation for everyone else in a country? Take their assets and help keep them ustable so that we can use them for our own comforts?

It's good to be patriotic, but please don't close your eyes. People and/or countries come to great power because they are willing to be ruthless.

I never did that. I helped Chinese to learn how to manufacture goods with a 400% efficiency. Yes, in the process I made money and my company made money. That is an equitable trade. It costs money to fly to China. It costs money to have a family...I admit there were some American corporations who took advantage of the Chinese innocence, but all in all they got more than they lost and become smarter in the process.

    Such is life....

It does not pay to be ruthless in the Information Age.

I don't understand where you get that idea, kmguru. We are extremely ruthless about obtaining AND protecting information. Information, in effect, is knowledge. Knowledge is power.

The people that hijacked those planes, attacked our most recognizable symbol of that ruthless pursuit of information, knowledge, power and money.

My hat's off to your optimistic view of our society, though. Sometimes I wish I believed what you seem to believe. I commend your positive outlook, even if I disagree with your statement.

By "ruthless" I meant death and destruction. That is so...anti-christian.

Even though christianity may be the most common religion in the US we are SUPPOSED to keep religion and state affairs separate. I hope we keep sight if that, because there will definitely be no reasoned thinking if this becomes a holy war on all fronts.

And don't forget that "christians" are the ones responsible for the vast majority of our internal terrorism in the form of bombed black churches, bombed abortion clinics and so on and so forth.

May be we are the same? The only difference is we fight among ourselves, do "hate crimes" to our own citizens - where as they come after us...

    Thank You All!

As we continue to gather up the pieces from this quickening madness, our hearts & prayers continue to pour out to all those whose lives have passed, those who remain struggling for their lives every moment waiting to be rescued, or pray that death come quickly, to those who are their surviving family & loved ones who continue to suffer, and the rest of us who mourn their grief, within these words I call out to the Almighty Hierarchy to heareth our woes & heareth our prayers.

May there some day come peace; if not in our lifetime, perhaps we can pave way for our children to see world peace come into fruition. Please if thy will be done, and we that liveth & walketh upon this earth this we pray so that we all will this some place deep down in our minds, hearts & souls (for those of us who believeth that we truly haveth a soul) within a worthy group of humanity, to spare us all from final doom to a brave new world that shineth like a true kingdom of eutopia.

Let me see, McVeigh? Now he was a professed 'Christian' wasn't he? By the way, last time I 'bombed' anything, was when I told a bad joke, it's a timing thing.
