the people who take it early to prepare for taking it later have a good reason. the more times you take it, the better you do. that's how the prep classes work. however, if you keep taking it is that an accurate score? does it better indicate how you'll perform in college if you have to repeat it to succeed? i'm not sure why my brother took it so early. he didn't take it again in high school. the only possible reason i can think of is to hold over my head that he got nearly 100 points higher at 12 than i did at 16.
Well, when I did the Duke Talent Search I only got a 1010. Taking it for real I got a 1580. It is not a measure of intelligence at all - it is a beatable test, provided you put the effort into it.
I only got 1250 when I took it in highschool. Had I actually studied, I might have done better and gotten into one of those expensive schools. But fortuantely, studying sucks. And now I'm retired. (Not retarded mind you.)
got 1040 or close to there not sure took it once before i graduated heh. Some of us were rejects I think i was a reject or just didnt fit in. Got depressed almost flunked out of high school but finished somehow in college now though.
well, yeah, it's good to have books and study and take all of those classes. but, having already taken it for real gives you an advantage. and, like i said before, you'll know what to pay attention to in freshman year (yay, high school!) and won't forget it because you'll know what's important. example: arcs? meh... good thing i'm taking trig in the fall.
