I saw an ad for this computer in an old (June 1978) issue of scientific american:

    8K bytes of RAM
14K bytes of ROM including an:
    8K basic interpreter
    4K operating system!

    All this for 795.00$

Does anybody know how many bits the processor uses?

I can still remember in 1981 when the TRS-80 Model 1 came out. I had a friend who was a couple of years older than me, and he spent almost every night of the week fooling with the demo at the local Radio Shack. I think his parents got him one for Christmas just so they would see him around the house.

Programs on cassette tape, 4K memory. I remember they had it upgraded to 16K. By my Senior year of high school the computer lab had them. Never interested me in the slightest.
