Why restrict this to men? Sounds sexist to me (not to mention speciesist).

Wouldn't there be a difference between the male pig and the female pig. And does this statement then refer to all pigs and their general state of mind, or just the male pigs? Or are we paradoxically talking about the problem that men might behave like female pigs?

OOOOKKKKK this is a strange thread in a strange place. Can I ask though, why pick 'pigs' as a term of reference or comparison? Since you have the 'women are bitchy' thread, why not have this one to 'men are bastards'? I don't think that men are pigs, they neither have a snout, tail or trotters. I do however think that some men are bastards

, just like some women are bitches

. But then I also think that some women are bastards and some men are bitchy... but who really cares..

And I find it amusing that up till now, it's only been males who've replied, and all the votes have been 'no' so far... hehehe.. interesting

I think we all squeal like pigs when we are in trouble. The poor pigs, smart self conscious animals, trapped in one ugly smelly body.

    Define piggy?

But it's not the pig's choice to be confined in a concrete chamber where he/she is expected to pee, poop, have sex, give birth, suckle it's young, no showers, no deoderents, ect....then get stereotyped for smelling bad... Pigs are being raised by humans...we should start calling them hummies instead of us being called piggies.

i restricted this to men, because that is a typical insult to men, not women. I meant the coloquiel meaning of pig, maybe the word slob would have been better

i had the understanding slob meant something slightly different, since women use the term pig as an insult whereas most men wouldnt find being called a slob much of an insult. I think men are bastards would have been a better sentence, though still cant be applied to all men and it never will be, after all if men are all bastards then women wouldnt love them and therefore would all be money grabbing whores(or is there a better phrase i can use???)

Pigs are gluttons for food, they eat everything and anything, therefor gaining weight quite fast. There are some people , women and men , that fall into that definition of being "piggy".

One thing I'll say about men being piggy: when compared to women they're rather unclean. Or at least I assume that this is so.

I'm basing this assertion off of the fact that every guy's shower that I've ever seen is equipped only with a bar of soap, and a bottle of shampoo. Women's showers, however are filled with so many innumerable chemicals, strange sponge like devices, potions and balms, that it makes my head spin. I assume that the end result of all of these strange fluids and contraptions is to be generally cleaner and better smelling, but judging by the sheer number of them I'd say that none are likely as effective in and of themselves as good ol' bar of soap and shampoo.

On second thought, I would have to agree, men are very much like pigs, but that's not a bad thing at all. We like to sit around and fill our bellies and sleep alot. Sometimes we tusk the odd sexual rival, its a good life all in all.

it is under ethics, because many people i know, believe it is ethical to call men slobs or whatever, but mention one sexist thing about women, and your in trouble. Anyway, i was trying to see how one-sided ethics are.
