Do we ever ask the right questions...?

If it were to be ventured, as it so often appears to be, as to WHY the universe was created or HOW the universe was created, we would irrevicably continue on in an endless pattern of infinite failure, at the chance of discovering the truth.

    The Truth

Is there such a thing? How can anything be true if we do not fully undrestand the universe we live in? How could nothing be true if we understood everything? Why do we want to know - the truth?

Is there any relevance in life? Is it merely a figure constructed of cells and molecules, which has the sole purpose of reproducing, through an intricate series of chemical reactions and scientific matters.

    But what is science?
What is the purpose of living?
    What is the truth?

This writer feels that the answer to the aforementioned questions, lies in but a simple notion. The idea that as everything must come to an and would suggest that as life, science and the truth must one day come to an end, then their lack of infinite existence leads us to believe that they have no rational purpose or reason.

However, if the vast majority of the universe is space... nothingness... then how can nothingness be lost into a finite lifespan, when already it consists of nothing?

    Thank you

The purpose of life .....hmmmmm what is the purpose of living?
You know we try to come up with intricate answers and argue endlessly that there may or may not be purpose. But you know I think and have done so now for ages the purpose of life is very simple. ( and yet so complex )

    To have fun.

    End of story

Truth comes in a great variety and in all forms just like mistake does: from everyday to scientific to metaphysical to spiritual, maybe even more. However, what you seem to be looking for is Ultimate Truth, the final formula why there is something as opposed to nothing.

I don't know if there's any relevance in life per se. But I do know that life is not simply a figure constructed of cells and molecules doing what is required by biological forces. It contains all that, but it is infinitely richer.

This is an interesting idea. And it's indeed possible that you've hit the nail on the head.

So, what does the universe do here, is that your real question? The deepest answer I've found so far is: it plays. It doesn't want to attain anything whatsoever, it has no goals or aims. It does exist and we, conscious parts of it, ask questions to which we all know the answers because we are it. But it's part of the game, or it seems, that we can never know when we've found the answer.

Don't take this literally because then it won't be true. This is a metaphor of something which is ineffable.

    Harmony, I think it is.

Like ancient creatures looking at the stars on top of a mountain, where did all this come from? We are blessed to be able to ask that question. Not rise above it, but stay inside it. We will know, we need patience. We look at the world with wonder, let's keep it that way. The very core of philosophy.
