David Chapelle, Richard Pryor, Eddie Murphy, George Carlin, Jim Carey, who? Chapelle is killing them softly (pun intended) right now, who do you think is funny? and if you post any facetious insolence, I shan't read none of it, let's keep things serious, people. Act grown
Lewis Black Dave Attell Todd Barry Dane Cook Adam Farrara Wanda Sykes Dave Chapelle Chris Rock Richard Pryor Jerry Seinfeld So many other amazing comics, I can't remember all of their names.
bill hicks was my favorite comedian. dana gould. chappelle. a whole bunch I can't think of at the moment too. do parker and stone count? they are my favorite comedic source of all time, but not exactly comedians. i used to dig dana carvey but he lost it some time in the mid to late 90's. dennis miller is good. so many funny people really. love it. i think the daily show as made me laugh harder than anything else ever. I mean, laughing to the point that it's way past laughing in this hysterical paralysis due to comedic overload. OMG, all of those people have my highest regards as that show is brilliant on a regular basis.
w0w, a lot of unfamiliar names, keep 'em coming... if ya don't mind supplying what they've done so I can look for them, that'd be appreciated
A list of excellent comedians I have seen almost every comedians half hour stand up on that list. I've missed a few guys but rest assured all of them are hillarious.
One of my personal favorites His whole half hour special was damn funny. It made a believer out of my sister who otherwise resented stand up comedy prior to watching his work.
Mitch Hedberg hands down. Well maybe not hands down, there are others, Jim Gaffigan is funny, greg giraldo is awesome but I hate tough crowd and wish he'd stop going on there, andy blitz, and others. But mostly Mitch Hedberg, god damn it that dude kicks ass.
1.Red Skelton 2. Bob Hope 3. George Burns and Gracie Allen 4. Steve Allen 5. Johnny Carson 6. George Carlin 7. Bob Newhart 8. Red Foxx 9. Lenny Bruce 10. Jay Leno 11. The Smothers Brothers This is a quick list of some of my favorites, there's plenty more but these are some of the best I've seen
Hmmm, I no longer pay enough attention on comedy, but in the past, I liked (or at least watched frequently) some comedians, namely: 1) Rowan Atkinson 2) Jim Carrey (or is it Carey? beats me) 3) Fran Drescher (something to that spelling.... doh)
Merrick and Rosso. Aussies and New Zealanders would know them. These guys have a 1/2 hour weekly show where the audience just asks them questions about anything and they answer it and no matter what the question they will always make you laugh non-stop the whole show. I'm laughing right now thinking about them. Its good, because its more than just toilet humour etc which you see a lot nowadays.
and Mallard Filmore. Foxtrot has to be one of the funniest comic strips running today. Boondocks is also hillarious and a lot more racy than anything out there with an exception of Doonesburry (It's fierce political commentary during the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky scandal forced the editors of Newsday to place it in the main section of the newspaper)
I like the popular comic strips most of the time (Peanuts and Garfield), with Peanuts being in the more favourite. Here're the other comic strips I often see too: Non Sequitur (reality bites...) Bizzaro (or is it Bizarro?) Foxtrot (lol family) Sherman's lagoon Preteen (or maybe it's Pre Teen?) Blondies Wizard of Wid (or Id?) Stone Soup etc
