    Errr ....

As much as I would like to see the Bush junta fall, I must respectfully ask our international neighbors to leave this process to us. This is our decision, our country, our mess.

As much as I sympathize with the website's goals, I do not find its method proper.

And besides, there's always the irony that the terrorists can donate to a presidential campaign this way.

I mean ... this is a massive clusterdiddle waiting to happen.

After all, I have enough of a problem with American meddling in other nations. Do I really want ten years of headlines about whether or not the Saud elected an American president with donations? I'm not worried about the North Koreans--they're too poor.

What would $18m (approx. $1.00 per head) buy, say, Syria, in our electoral process? After all, they're on the hit list, to judge by the Bush administration's rhetoric earlier this year.

    How about $68m from Iran?

    I must disagee Tiassa.
US foreign policy is by definition not just a domestic issue. Multinational interest groups have been paying for US presidents for years, are you denying their employees the the same right?

If your prepared to sell your presidency you have to take whats coming.

And isn't that part of the problem anyway?

Isn't that part of the problem anyway?

I don't want American money or interference in foreign elections, and I don't want any foreign money in ours. Looks like I've got some research to do. Thanks for raising the point.

Well, I'm sure if the foreigners and the politician can come to an agreement it can't be wrong.

Since USA has become the most powerful country in the world, then maybe it's time to let other countries vote for who's going to be president too, because the outcome of the election will affect them.
But if that would become a reality, then we would have to have a world government instead.

This is so funny. A bunch of unimportant and insignificant Europeans thinking they need to change who gets the White House in 2004.

From their point of view, they might need to, but whether or not they can is another matter.

So do we get to vote for Chancellor of Germany and President of France?

Actually we don't care. They're too insignificant.
