For lack of anything better to do, I thought of this: How would the Aliens(like from the movie of the same name) respond to being assimilated?

Like I said, just for the heck of it.

I think the Alien anatomy would kind of make them incompatible to assimilation.

Anyway, what use could the Borg have for them?

So the Borg wouldn't be able to adapt t othe Aliens physiology?

They'll surely retalilate but slowly, promising many, many, many sequels depending on their ability to keep the masses interested in their efforts.

I would think that the Borg would use the Aliens as a sort of killing, drooling, horrible thing.

But chances are the borg would think that the Xenomorphs are nothing but animals

Nah, the Aliens would just rip them to pieces and use them for nests. there's no way that they would be quick enough to assimilate any of them.

Why can't the borg assimilate animals? It would make good sense to have drone ferrets to do stuff in ductwork, gorillas would be as good as humans once hooked into the collective, and the Xenomorphs would be the best of conventional beat em up warriors. If necessary the borg can make nanoprobes out of gold so they can exist in Xenomorph blood.

Of course the Borg would likely make a Xenomorph a clumsy, lumbering clod. They should invest their efforts in making the fastest drones imaginable... not bipedal daleks.

The Borg would probably do that. An invincable drone. The Producers would want a storyline, and thus would limit it, just like they downplay the yield of the photon torpedoes, their homing ability, and a dozen other things.

The producers... same reason the borg just didn't make warp-capable nanoprobe bombs. Launch them and when they get to an inhabited planet they explode and infect everyone. Just too damn powerful.

The borg need to assimilate more midgets. That way the midgets can get into air ducts/jefferies tubes and hop out of no where and assimilate people. (They could bite your kneecaps to)

That's precisely true. Even though I don't have much of an idea of what you may be talking (or typing) about (with regard to THE Aliens), the Aliens would no doubt rip the Borg to nano-pieces.

Aliens all the way, especially Masterminds!!

If they eat the pieces of the borg would they not get nanoprobes in their systems and then be assimilated? Anyway, if the borg ever found something they couldn't assimilate they would just bombard it from orbit. Unless the aliens could grow ships the borg still win.

Wouldn't having hideously corrosive acid for blood kind of make your body inimical to cybernetic implants?

Anyway, wasn't there some alien species in Voyager that the Borg couldn't assimilate? Don't remember...

The Borg could not assimilate species 8472.

I was told that the Doctor figured out how to fix the problem with 8472, and the Borg would probably have figured it out eventually.

As for acidic blood, you just have to make some changes to the materials used for the implants to make them more tolerant to the acid. It's possible that the Borg would decide that the ineffinencies of assimilating the Xenos would outweigh the advantages, and they would just destroy them. Might be kind of fun to see what the crew of the Enterprise do if one or two get on board.

"We are the Borg... Prepare to be assimilated... hmmm....
their blood seems to be melting the asimilator aparatus..."

**FZZZAAAAAPP!!!** "Hey! Stop chewing on that!" **BLAAAAAMOO!!!**

(The Borg cube explodes after acid blood from an Alien spills
everywhere and burns a hole in something rather important.)

It might be kinda funny, since the entire Borg would get to share in the experience of being molested by a facehugger. Millions of cyborgs rinsing and spitting in unison!
