Jerrek Interesting.. but lest we forget the differences btwn that time and today. Firstly we are dealing with a totally defeated enemy, secondly their leaders were captured, there was no such thing as "teworism", we were dealing with a Soviet threat who was begining to be a threat, and visa versa. But they had a plan... oh my. Here the US is just in Iraq... doing what? Also remember that European and American culutre are almost the same. Arab and American? Were Americans being killed and were they blasting into normal families houses? And did the US attack Euro pre-emptively? There was a totally different thought process at that time that cannot be compared to today's issues.
Europe would have indeed benefited from nazi rule. For one thing, they wouldn't have the immigration problem. European culture would have been secure. Hitler was a great man. A truly great man worthy of our respect.

So what jerrick is saying is that because someone once thought that the reconstruction of Europe wasn’t going well, that we can reconstruct any country at all without any problem and there is no chance of failure? Right, this sounds like sound logic to me.
SpyMoose If I am not mistaken a Mr.Truman was a democrat.. oh my, and I think that most republicans in the house and senate were against the bill. But don't worry conservatives today like to scream of it's success 58 years ago, without even supporting it. Also don't forget that they compare Europe to Iraq... simply amazing is it not?
