My vote is for ignorance. I have no problem with apathy, since I don't belive a person should be obligated to care for anyone or anything. Too often I notice that charges of "apathy" are used to slander people who simply wish to mind their own business.
I'm sure you mean ignorance in the sense that a person doesn't know. Here's my quote on ignorance: "If you simply don't know, I wouldn't consider you being ignorant. Galt: Agreed. What sucks is that apathy so often finds itself face to face with an ignorant that pushes and pushes until he finds himself punched in the nose for not minding his damn business. It'd be much easier to be a stoic without the busybodies wondering 'what's wrong'? But I'd say Ignorace is better. I'd rather be ignorant. Knowing things does...............odd things to you. Odd. ignorance is too stupid to be apathetic and apathy doesnt care if its ignorant or not... hope that clears ... somthing ... up. but seriusly id say ignorance is worse. their is nothing wrong with apathy. if i may quote good ol' webster... ignorance: 1: The condition of being uneducated, unaware, or uninformed. 2: A willful neglect or refusal to acquire knowledge which one may acquire and it is his duty to have. apathy: 1: Lack of interest or concern, especially regarding matters of general importance or appeal; indifference. 2: Lack of emotion or feeling; impassiveness. 3: Want of feeling 4: incapable of being ruffled or roused to active interest or exertion by pleasure, pain, or passion. ok lets have a hypotheticale. say you are in a small town on an island. you discover that the town is out of food and all bridges are out and the water is full of mines. do you care? no. you happen to also know that the mines are there as protection against an enimy and that the town was abandoned years ago when every1 left to live in underground bunkers. so you are apathetic to that becuse you are not ignorant. but oh wait! what you dont know is that the enimy is sending planes tomarow to bomb the entire island with nukes and your only way out is by ship because they have hidden SAMS just over the horizon. the map as to where the mines are was lost last week. and a leak in a septic tank poluted all the food in the subteranian bunkers yesterday. do you care now? maybe. but what if it turns out you dont, because your actualy a spy sent by the enimy to make sure their is no food there that they might be able to get and you put the bloody hole in the damn septic tank! wait a sec... im making no sents and niether did that! w/e if your even still reading this my point it that every1 is ignorant and no one is realy apathetic in the not caring about somthing important. if its important to them. no food left on that island is important. but not to you if you live elswhere. and every1 is ignorant. there is always somthing you dont know. and always things you dont want to know. as for thsoe last two definitions of apathy, take it from me, those you can be.
Which is worse? Do you mean: Which would be worse to BE... Or... Which would be worse to be AROUND? There is a big difference in asking if someone would prfer to be ignorant or apathetic and asking if someone would prefer others to be ignorant or apathetic.
