What do you mean what's going on.

She had a fever and now it's gone.

Fevers are not bad - they're good.

The body produced a fever naturally to kill INFECTION.

Let me repeat myself for you slow folk - fevers are good, NOT bad.

Fevers are the bodies natural defense to kill microbes by raising the temperature higher than they can survive.

Crystal, there is no need for any anger or for being an asshole. I respect everyone's intelligence on the forum an dI know I am not the brightest one here but I know my shit about many things here ; this I didn't know about. What I do knwo about is that yes, fevers do kill infection...however, they terminate body cells because the body dosen't maintain homeostasis. A constant fever is extremly dangerous.

On a final note, life is too short to be an asshole.

While this is true, anyone with a little medical knowledge knows that for an adult a fever of 103 is really very high. At about 103.5 you start to run the risk of some temporary brain damage and possibley some temporary neurosis (visual, auditory, and olfactory hallucinations, etc).

The easy way to break a fever is to take ibuprofen and acetaminophen at the same time. Just follow the instructions on each bottle.

I don't think a continues fever is a sign of anything good.

I have never heard of such a thing but I'm not a M.D. here what I could find about it on Google:

    http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SideEffects/Archive/Other/Q7804.html

I guess if your friend is suffer from one of the STDs named above it is not a unheard of symptom... not that I'm saying anything about your friends sex life

oh lordy. don't have children. it is a common thing for kids to end up in the hospital because of a fever that didn't break. if you don't treat a fever in children, it is not uncommon for them to go into a seizure and in extreme cases, a coma.

sure fevers are good but they signal the presense of something not so good.
