https://www.dailykos.com/stories/20...r-surprise-He-s-starting-to-decriminalize-pot so we take one step closer to pot being legal as joe biden pardons all federal pot possession charges, urges governors to do the same, and asking the AG and secretary of health and human services to initaite the admin process to review marijuana is scheduled under federal law. wonder how this might change november?
It will make him more popular with a certain segment of the population. I don't know that it will change the election results very much. I don't think there will be many Republican pot smokers who decide to now vote Democrat. It's a good idea, IMO, to reduce prison populations by making this sort of thing no longer a crime that can put one in prison. IMO, violent, repeat offenders should stay in prison and many other people shouldn't end up there in the first place, particularly not unless the whole prison system/culture is drastically reformed.

Probably true. I'm not a big fan of making it legal but decriminalizing it is probably a good thing. No need to go to prison for using it. I don't think we need a nation of potheads but we don't need a nation of alcoholics either. It's hard to legislate discipline and good judgement.
Like alcohol I really don't care if you kill yourself with pot or any other drugs Just don't kill others. There is a minor cost to the health system (those of us who were tasked with stopping you from killing yourself and nursing you back to a condition suitably healthy enough for you to look after yourself The physical side of that fairly straight forward, the mental side really guess work Pot will kill you in much the same way as tobacco with cancer but h as added risk of brain scrambling with suicide side effect Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Sure many reasons people drink alcohol to excess And many reasons people use pot However use of pot appears to increase thoughts of suicide into doing the deed I'm dropping out ā to depressing Change of pace - next Bali holiday - Feb 2023 an girlfriend Nā° 1 ā Much better, now where is my coffee Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! If I knew for certain I would be rich However extrapolating from the cases I nursed (failed attempts by alcoholics and the doctors explanations) it appears pot, like alcohol, is not a "make you happy" drug, it is more a depression causing drug Get to depressed and suicide becomes the way to solve your depression Geeze do I need coffee now Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! and a chat with girlfriend in Bali about our next holiday there Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Using something that is a depressant as opposed to a stimulant wouldn't cause clinical depression. If you are already clinically depressed then sure it "could" push you over the edge if you were already thinking about suicide (or it could not). Alcohol is the same. I don't see many people pushing for the non-use of alcohol because it may lead to some suicidal people committing suicide. People who are set on committing suicide generally are successful. I think it is clear however that smoke in the lungs is damaging to one degree or another.
I am glad you have discovered that there is not that possibility. I am sure the medical profession is relieved Nothing like being firm and not equivocating Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
It's true that I'm not a on the job trained nurse and an expert but I haven't read the medical community coming to the conclusions that you have. These are just my takes on what I've read though.
