Yes, we know. Mick West had shown that bokeh effect on the 15th April last year regarding that.
That was two days before you said this:
    17thApril 2021
I did provide a link back then also, but it seems you couldn't be bothered to look.
    So, here it is again.

I'm leaving Sciforums, too many strawman, weasel words and lies.

No need for the nuclear solution. There's always the Ignore button.

How can I show they are there if they are hiding? insert nervous giggle

Seriously though there are many eyewitness accounts of beings exiting and entering a landed ufo. I think that is sufficient justification to assume they are a "they".

The same argument can be made about unicorns and leprechauns.

I've not heard of any sightings of unicorns and leprechauns. But then I don't get out much.

Whether you have or haven't is immaterial to the applicability of your arguments, above.

Having not seriously investigated it, you can take it on faith that there have been such accounts.

Thus, your logic applies generally: "...there are many eyewitness accounts of X. I think that is sufficient justification to assume they are a 'they'."

If X were little green men, ghosts, leprechaun, unicorns or even the mysterious hand of God, the logic you propose makes no distinction. It can be reduced to "as long as there are many eyewitness accounts of something, I consider it sufficiently justified that that thing exists".

Like I said, I've never heard of a unicorn or leprechaun sighting, so there is no justification for believing they exist.

If it is dependent on your personal exposure to the witness accounts, then it can't be an argument that applies beyond your personal use. It's just an argument from ignorance.

So all you can really say then is "...there are many eyewitness accounts of beings exiting and entering a landed ufo. I think that is sufficient justification [for me and me alone] to assume they are a 'they'."

Which would be fine - if you had said that. But it certainly can't be an argument that has any objective validity. It can't for example, challenge James R's statement "You have yet to show that there's a "they" who can hide."

So, indeed, you have yet to show there's a "they" who can hide.

    That's a concession. I'll allow it.

What do you all think of the idea that maybe a space alien civilization existed long ago, and has since died out? Compared to the rest of the universe, Earth is a relatively young planet, so is it that far-fetched of an idea? Not sure we'll ever know the answer to this, but is it plausible?

I would imagine that many civilizations have come and gone among all the planets out there suitable for life. I mean we're talking billions of planets over a period of 13.7 billion years. I suspect a sizable asteroid impact to be a common culprit behind many of these extinctions.

 It doesn't really say anything about explanations for UAPs - for or against. It would be its own thread, really.

    Plausible?

Still not. The vastness of the Universe, the same physics existing though out the vastness puts the notion of visiting even your closest neighbour well beyond being feasible

Also before setting off you really would ñeed to know your nearest intergalactic neighbour will be home

That requires detection and conformation. If you imagine you are inside a vast bubble of planets, only some of which might have neighbours worthy of a visit, detection and conformation alone would take several life time to establish their presence

Unfortunately the day after you set out a dinosaur meteor wipes them out or a self started Atomic War

The Fermi Paradox or faulty assumptions on our part? I don't know. Perhaps to say either way is ''unscientific.'' At best, we have only our gut feelings guiding us in these ideas. I like your open-mindedness, MR.

That's true, we're not ''defending space aliens,'' anymore. lol Maybe I'll start a new thread, soon.

I haven't wanted to spill the beans but didn't you confess to me that you were actually a butterfly from another civilization and that no one has ever actually seen your "face". As I recall, you actually work from home so...it's a little suspicious.

I'm keeping an open mind but "they" may actually be among us on this forum. Butterfly, I mean Wegs, and MR may both be aliens. I believe that Wegs means Wings Exoplanet Generated.

    It's all coming together...

    Lol!

Well, if you ever find yourself wandering in a cornfield with no memory of the night before, don’t blame us.
