Congressional hearing today on the Pentagon's reports and videos of UAPs. There is concern that our national security is being threatened. Mention is made below of the triangle UAPs being explained as the effect of viewing thru nightvision goggles.

"The Pentagon Tuesday showcased declassified photos and video of UFOs to Congress – including a flying object without a "specific" explanation" – as lawmakers pressed military officials on the mysterious sightings.

In one brief and shaky video, a small object appeared to zip past a military pilot. In a separate video and a similar photo taken at a different time, glowing triangles are seeing in the night sky. The visuals were shown during testimony from Deputy Director of Naval Intelligence Scott Bray and Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security Ronald Moultrie.

Bray, as he presented the images and videos, said the video and photo of the glowing triangles remained unresolved for some time, but was eventually identified as unmanned aerial vehicles. But he said the military does not know what the object in the first video could be.

The Department of Defense showcased images of unidentified flying objects during a hearing on May 17, 2022. Pentagon officials said some objects that appeared in the shape of triangles were actually unmanned aerial vehicles. They appeared that way because they were observed through night-vision goggles, officials said.

"I do not have an explanation for what this specific object is," Bray said in an exchange with Intelligence Committee Chairman Rep. Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

Bray continued to emphasize that many UAP reports have a "limited amount of high quality data and reporting" which "hampers the ability to draw firm conclusions about the nature and intent of UAP."

Bray also said Tuesday that there have been at least 11 "near misses" between U.S. military aircraft and UAP. He also said the U.S. military hasn't tried to communicate with UAP, including the unexplained object in the video shown earlier in the hearing which "may or may not be in controlled flight."

The presentation happened in a House Counterterrorism, Counterintelligence, and Counterproliferation Subcommittee Tuesday. It was the first congressional UFO hearing in a generation..." https://www.foxnews.com/politics/dod-pentagon-ufo-photos-videos-house-hearing

    Weeeeeeeeeeeeee!
At about 0.14 it just goes nuts. And at 1.22 even nuttier.

Well, if we use the Text Book of Star Trek, you "open all hailing frequencies" and speak in English, hoping that the other ship has an automatic translator.
In reality, you'd broadcast on as wide a frequency range as possible and... speak English. However, the radar errors, cracks in the glass, weather phenomenon, unmanned drones, CGI, birds, and other mundane explanations are just as unlikely to respond to you as an extraterrestrial who is keeping radio silence - if indeed they even use radio.
Hence the silence would obviously be taken as proof positive that it is a highly intelligent ET wishing to stay silent, right, and that the UAP is clearly alient tech?

It looks fake, though. I mean, it's not, but it just looks it, 'cos, you know... defying physics 'n' all that.

Must be alien tech, I guess?
Anyhoo - my only question about it is how the **** does the cameraman keep the device in frame all the time, despite the bat-shit-crazy flight path?

Because it's played back in fast mo.

In reality, it's moving slow enough to easily be kept in the frame.

Presentation could have been over in 2 minutes

Thank you for attending. Any questions?

What have you concluded and know about UFOs

We have concluded and know they are unidentified. Thank you all for attending. Presentation concluded

"A database of reports of UFOs now includes about 400 incidents, up from 143 assessed in a report released about a year ago, a Navy intelligence official told lawmakers at a congressional hearing on Tuesday....

...Many of the latest entries do not have sensor data — they're from people coming forward with older stories that they chose not to report at the time, Bray said. That's evidence that the military's drive to destigmatize such reports is working, he added.

"Navy and air force crews now have step-by-step procedures for reporting UAPs on their kneeboard, in the cockpit," Bray said.

It's an important effort, said Rep. Andre Carson, D-Ind., who noted that skepticism around UFOs likely has led pilots to avoid making the reports, or getting laughed at when they did..."

That's a good thought or did you work it out from something on screen, or something else?
    Best to go full screen.
There's a runner on a path. She doesn't seem to go '' keystone cops fast' when the drone is buzzing nuts between 1.47 and 2.02 Keep your eyes watching the low left side of screen at that time, she goes off screen but returns a few times, but she's not running nuts like the drone at the same moments when they are both on screen.

Nor is the drone doing impossible stunts at impossible speeds at those same moments.

ER, well, if ALL they were supposed to do was fly the plane, they wouldn't be much use, would they?

Fly the plane as opposed to fly the plane AND fill out a report about the UFO buzzing you

Where did anyone say that drone in the clip post #6084 is doing ''impossible stunts at impossible speeds''? Strawman.
You said '' Because it's played back in fast mo'' , that's what I replied to in my post #6093:
At 1.48 to 1.49 on that last youtube clip # 6084, the drone is doing a high speed small horizontal circle, you can see it as well as hear it, and the runner is just running at a slow jog in the same moments, shouldn't she be running like a ''keystone 'cop'' if it's fast mo?
If you think the speed is not real. Check out youtube for fast drones.

    1. I said that. It is my opinion. (I don't actually think its "defying" physics).
    2. I assume impossible stunts is why you posted it in a thread about UFOs.

    1. It's on the internet. If it can be faked, it's probably faked. Yes, I am that skeptical.

    2. I am confident that the playback speed changes over the course of the video. I think it starts off at normal speed, and ends at normal speed, and has portions in the middle played back at normal speed, but that much of it is played back in fast motion. This is a very common technique in modern, short videos - here it is used to hype up the dexterity of this gadget.

I don't doubt drones can go very fast. I do doubt they can perform tight aerobatics that fast* - faster than a human's reflexes - without crashing.
    * though I don't rule out the possibility of software-pre-programmed stunts.

I don't have proof. This thread is not about proof; it is about evidence and skepticism. I am skeptical of the veracity of evidence in this video.

Fine but I think that any tampering with the video would be found out .

I think the video is probably legit...
Here's another with a similar quad-drone, and they're talking through it. It's a pretty damn fast and agile drone.

Apparently speeds in excess of 150mph are quite common for these things. And the reason the camera can track it so easily is 'cos it's a head-worn Go-pro worn by the guy flying it. So he knows where it's going to be.
Not saying that the video previously posted definitely isn't sped up in places, but I'm thinking, on balance, that it probably isn't.
