Eve was Adam’s helper, she was under Adam. When Eve did the evil deed, she became Adam’s wife, and was commanded to obey her husband.
So in work, there is always going to be hierarchies. Marriage is a works. It is essentially for producing children in a spiritual way. It demands discipline and sacrifice.
Of course we are so removed from spirituality nowadays, so it doesn’t appear to matter.

Eve and Adam committed the “evil deed.” They sinned together and were punished equally. God didn’t see Eve as the only one disobeying. This explains a lot of where a sexist/misogynist would get his justification - he twists Scripture to convince himself that Eve was the sinner and Adam was a victim of her disobedience. No, Adam was just as “guilty.”

The more Jan posts, the more I see where he gets his justification for his bias against women.

Not sure, in my understanding Eve has been created because God observed that Adam alone was not a good thing and there was a try to add him "a companion".
His first wife, the demon Lilith was a failure (due to some incompatibility).

So, making Eve from the same substance as Adam did the work and both where created similar, side by side .
It is only as they were driven out of the Heaven that Eve became "Adam's wife", so becoming "the mother of humanity" and yes at this point they werent any more similar. (There is no need to reproduce in heaven...)
