Not exactly. A BH is the left over remnant of a large star after catastrophic collapse of the core after the star goes supernova. The same applies toWhite Dwarf stars, Neutron stars and Pulsars...they are in effect all stellar remnants after a star has used up its available hydrogen.
Spiral arms in galaxies are essentially created due to the galaxy's rotation. They are actually density waves where stars pile up, similar to a traffic jam. Stars are moving through these density regions all the time, and also exist in between the spiral/density arms.
As a conglomeration of gas collapses under gravity, the core will start to heat up and eventually some limited fusion starts. This is known as a proto star until finally full fusion gets under way and we have the formation of a star. Examples of proto star and stellar formation processes, are seen in the Eagle nbula and Orion, just to name two.
Planetary formation follows with clumping in the accretion disk and dust etc that surrounds the newly formed star.
The first stars are known as GEN1 stars because they were the first to form, and POP3 stars due to their total lack of metalicity, forming solely from H and He.

exactly. the arms are quasi-stationary apparent "pressure" waves. through which the galactic matter moves. and
Standing waves are often created through resonances, show repetitive patterns in their wave length, as seen in the solar system planet spacing, explained in the OP.
It is a given that matter starts to accumulate and then gathers more through gravity, allegedly creating these ring-shaped paps, but
Why are there ring- shaped matter-rich donuts we see in the ALMA images in these particular spacings:
alternative theory: Chladni- plate -like action at work.

about rings in proto -planetary clouds:
"--evolution of density patterns and oscillations in the cloud.--" bold added, quoted from:

American Institute of Physics. "From star to solar system: How protoplanetary rings form in primordial gas clouds." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 15 September 2020. <www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/09/200915121328.htm>.

Nebel opines that the oscillation of the overwhelming central mass, the star, plays a defining role in the cloud oscillation mentioned in the paper.

    replying to the sceptics:
"--The results are stunning," Hartigan said. "We see a wealth of detail never observed before along the edge of the cloud, including a long series of parallel ridges that may be produced by a magnetic field, a remarkable almost perfectly smooth sine wave --" ( bold added),
    quoted from:

Rice University. "Gemini South's high-def version of 'A Star is Born': Sharpness of star-forming image matches expected resolution of Webb Space Telescope." ScienceDaily. ScienceDaily, 5 October 2020. <www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2020/10/201005112118.htm>.

If the cloud is excited into these wave patterns (which in our atmosphere happens through shear or mountains), and matter congregates into the "troughs" of these waves, and the star forms out of this resonating material, no wonder at least some exo solar systems have planets possibly orbit like their stars vibrate.
it started out that way, perhaps even here.

Your ignorance of such things as EDP, NDP, and the Schwarzchild limit as entailed by GR, does not invalidate them.

It does if they are not physically based .

Not when you are ignorant of EDP, NDP, Schwarzchild limit and GR in general. And you are ignorant of them, are you not?

how did a Black Hole controversy arise from observed standing waves in a nascent exo solar/star & planet system?

No Idea there was a controversy . Go on .

There is no controversy...BH's exist and we can now even measure them and observe gravitational waves from colliding pairs of BH's, BH's and Neutron stars, or BH's and White Dwarfs.
There are plenty of threads in the sciences that show how our knowledge of BH's is improving all the time.

my question was how did a feud about BHs end up on a star/ planet thread?
Even black holes are chirping. How did the planets fare when the star was swallowed by a BH?
this thread is more about how orbits are generated, not how they end.

Not sure how BH's started to be discussed here and too lazy to check.....irrespective, there is no feud. BH's are now near certain for the obvious reasons, plus of course the recent photograph taken of one.
The planets in all likelyhood would have been swallowed first.
That's easy..... the orbit is generated by a combination of the planet,s/satellite,s straight line motion, that is acted on by gravity, in a nutshell.

If you need info on BH's, there is plenty of that in the cosmology sections or reputable links.

Rotation and vibration , interact together . pad . Hence an orbit .

Bullshit river...vibration has nothing to do with any orbit.

Without gravity, an Earth-orbiting satellite would go off into space along a straight line. With gravity, it is pulled back toward Earth. A constant tug-of-war takes place between the satellite's tendency to move in a straight line, or momentum, and the tug of gravity pulling the satellite back.

Bye river, so you in the sciences, where nonsense is rare and knowledge plentiful.

Or more info can be found by googling Kepler's three orbital laws.

Gravity waves move outward from the source , not inwards , towards the source . It is true pad .
