What if he's 350 lbs and chalked full of gassy smelly stuff (not to mention acne)? What if the woman is stupid? I think an anthropological perspective would show that women look to a strong mate. Strength is perceived by women in many different ways. Intelligence isn't always one of them. Generally it depends on the emotional trauma (or at least powerful emotional experience) of the woman in question. For instance if a woman had a intelligent mate who beat her ass every day for 10 years, she'll probably look at compassion as strength and seek the mate who shows evidence of compassion, regardless of intellect... see what I mean? Well, regardless of your reservations, every woman will learn more than she'd like to admit (as every man would) from her parents. It's not certain that a woman will teach a man to look for an idiot, but per the notes above with the added consideration of subtle parental influences.. it's certainly not out of the question that a kid would learn just about any messed up crap you can think of from their parents eh?

No I do not see what you mean. If a woman who was beaten for 10 years then obviously she is not looking for compassion. Well this I would agree with. But at some stage a person is responsible for the psychological dispostion they have inherited.
I'm sure that you obviously don't, but I'm not so sure you speak accurately for all women. I'd say that as a generalization you have a point.. but the details break down quick if applied to every case. You have a point about my example which was someone poorly constructed in haste. What I was driving at (which you seemed to ignore) was that selection criteria for a mate is always based on your experience (if you are the one who gets to choose I guess, some places still use arranged marriages). That being the case, intelligence isn't necessarily a factor in what makes a mate appealing. This isn't hypothetical, I know this from indirect personal experience. I've seen it firsthand more than once. I would concede that generally intelligence is probably a factor, but not always Of course, I'd say as soon as they are considered an adult, they are responsible for their own crap. This doesn't mean however, that the failure to use intellect for selection critieria for a mate is bad. I personally find it preferable, but that doesn't have any objective bearing on the issue.

But although the grounds-keeper was not educated he was still intelligent and he had the one main factor which can override eveything on a woman's list...PASSION!

Lucysnow how do you choose to filter the people you would choose to have a relationship with? my point is that most people create a certain criteria as you have mentioned however these mostly include the people who can afford to pay the door entry to the exclusive club that is called the money dating game i am refering to the idea of 2 single people being in 2 seperate places in the same city if the guy does not have a nice car and a good job then the women would not be interested in dating him to then be in the position to decide if she wanted to have a relationship with him genralisation and so what has happened is that money has been placed inbetween the equation women aspire to a certain level of finance or status of some kind which is actualy quite irrelavant of intellegence just look at all the politicians as one big group how many would call them all sorts of names and say they are not intellegent and then think that because they have a good income and social status they would be acceptable as a potential. women are being taught to sit around in exlusive high price institutions to show themselfs so they can wait to get an offer from one of the passing millionares. mothers and fathers are the primary teachers of thier own children = that was my point it is a stereotype of the direction of desire of the majority of the people... men and women this site is not a fair representation of society because it is based on the premis of scientific discusion so as you would be aware the majority of the population is not interested in discussing science so they would not come and post thier opinions here! and that by no means reduces the value of the site in my opinion it sorts a few out but ofcoarse does act like fly-paper to those who are arrogantly narcissistic. not pointing any fingers. i hope that explains my opinion more clearly groove on Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!

Despite being from www.anus.com, I'm not a big fan of hairy male buttsex. I suppose with women it might be fun also, but they're intriguing for so many other ways I doubt I'd ever wander into that point of penetration.
