A little known fact is that the background noise from the big bang is missing the lower frequencies, which would suggest that the original universe was small and unable to produce the longer wave length frequencies due to size limitations .

This Is How We Know The Cosmic Microwave Background Comes From The Big Bang

Thought current theory was that all energy was already present and Big Bang was a event within said energy

Yes but why do you think it is a scientific fact

Small objects are unable to generate long wavelengths. Hence the various wavelength spectra associated with size of the emitter.
Long wavelengths are missing from CMB, which suggests that the emitting source was small. The universe is now so big that it has wavelengths so large that have completed only 6 full cycles in some +13 billion years. See "the ringing Universe"

In this animated representation of the universe’s timeline, the first frame depicts the accepted model known as Lambda Cold Dark Matter, where the Greek Lambda stands for Einstein’s “cosmological constant.” The outline of the “bell-shaped” universe represents its expanding size. The transition time is the point in time at which the bell shape shifts from going inward to outward from left to right. The second frame shows the new University of Mississippi research suggesting that the universe has slowed down and speeded up, not just once, but seven times in the last 13.8 billion years. If this model is correct, the universe may be alternately expanding and contracting over billions of years. If this illustration is somewhat accurate, we are in an expanding phase (as observed), but eventually the universe will begin showing signs of shrinking, and again expanding, until the wave function flattens out completely.

I like that concept in view of the 1st thermodynamic law of conservation of energy. It also agrees with Bohm's Pilot Wave theory and his solution to the particle/wave duality paradox.

Eek....going way out on a limb here....

....oh well....it has a measure of logic....I hope....

That response was much too quick. Seems you never even looked at the supporting links I provided.
I will take your response seriously once you have given this some attention instead of a kneejerk response. This is not a fantasy of my own making. Check the links...NASA/WMAP...woo?

If a hippo can make a whale of itself, I guess you could be right. In the freaky-deaky world that is your mind.

Jan - what do you hope people in this thread who disagree with you, come to learn? (I've lost the point of this thread, sorry lol)

No hippo has ever made a whale of itself. You're doing the strawman thing again, which is indication #17 you know you are out of arguments.

I don’t hope for anything, that would be a waste of time. I enjoy discussing, and the banter.
Whatever is learnt is but a consequence of that.
Do you hold a hope that people will learn from what you say in discussion, or banter?

OK read both links but they are essentially the same.
I don't think there is any suggestion the universe is expanding and contracting is there?
Speeding up and slowing down maybe.
What I find interesting is what mechanism could cause this...thinking about it briefly all that occurs to me is the wave may be generated by some form of resistance...and that raises the question from where does the resistance come from...our theory eliminates an external course but an internal resistance could not produce seven events one would think.
I am more inclined to think they have something wrong and their perceived wave is an illusion.
But I am not a scientist so my thoughts are most casual.
Thanks for giving me something to think about.
Got to go as I have some real tasks to address..but hopefully I will be back later.
    Alex
