Time simply means you are alive: you haven't died yet; you have time.

While each individual only has "now" (the present) each moment has the POTENTIAL to continue for eternity. Forever!

    OK

Since I have been told I can't cherry pick answers I am going to leave each poster to keep track of the number of definitions posted

Please if you add a definition from this point please increase the total

    Current count (including this one)

    8

    Thanks

That's how we know "time" is bio-logical: because we have it.

It's the same definition, Michael345. TIME is present within every living being: because they are alive; they have time.

I can state so because in the phantasy of murdering my Father, I wipe the blade on my old-white-t-shirt, towards myself, away, then towards again.

Well it's not MY definition (I did not invent the human being or living things) but "time" is biological: it's within all living beings.

Incidentally you cannot traverse as I stated until you can remember the phantasy that teaches traversal, just as you cannot know about it until you are dead. Society has been programmed that way (the thought was held, and every human after inherits it.)

You can use the equivalent formula d = rt which means distance equals rate times time. To solve for speed or rate use the formula for speed, s = d/t which means speed equals distance divided by time. To solve for time use the formula for time, t = d/s which means time equals distance divided by speed.

    Shouldn't that be speed=distance÷age, Michael345?

But is it truly measuring "time?"

By the way, a lot of theories seem to build upon OTHER PEOPLE'S WORK (thoughts and otherwise.)

Even the formulas stated above have not been constructed WHOLLY from nothing. It has been built upon OTHER'S previous work (those who invented the metre, kilometre, mile, second, minute and hour.)

People seem to not construct a whole body of work themselves, that remains true, forever.

What about an hour-glass (sand-timer)? If you decide to put one in a refrigerator YOURSELF, it would stop. Does this mean cold stops time? Surely an hour-glass relies on gravity...

Has anyone seen what happens to a clock or mobile-phone if you put it in a refrigerator?

A declaration of what one sees as reality usually is no where near reality.
Time is with us else you could not look back on what you have posted and realise you were mistaken.

Xelasnave.1947, you need to ask yourself, am I wrong?

I asked and I conclude ...yes you are indeed wrong.
Anything else that I can help you with?

Please help me I helped you....I find I am wrong early and so change my position so I am right leaving onlookers to think he is never wrong but you see it is by realising I am wrong that I can be right all of the time...it's wonderful to be infallibile...particularly about there being no god.

    No

Thread was started to invite posters to detail definitions of TIME

None of the other postingss (mine gets a ✓) have impressed me (opinion/observation)

As already mentioned I expected numerous postings describing TIME with the aim of melding them together (someone else - not me)

How post 51 to 57 got in I don't know

So the count is nine - take out two that state TIME does not exist

Anyone care to post a description of TIME?

Anyone care to combine the current seven?

To affirm that AGE = TIME is pseudoscience.
