What can I inject in my vein to die painlessly?

Are you thinking of taking your own life?

    Naw, he's just asking.
Suicides and people considering suicide, do their research very differently.
They consider options - different ways to die - according to their mind-set and circumstances. Some people have a phobia for heights, so they'd never consider jumping off a balcony; some are afraid of water, or fire, or enclosed spaces - whatever - options come off the table through aversion. Then more options come off the table through practical considerations: physical ability, access to firearms, geographical location, etc. They narrow the plan down to what they can do, what they can stomach and what they have the opportunity to complete.
This is too specific for suicide research, and too improbable.
Ingest would be high on the preferred list; inject would be quite low, as most people would freak out at the idea of sticking a needle in their own arm. Even diabetics and blood-clot risks, who have to do daily subcutaneous (any old flesh, not a vein) injections take a long time to get up the nerve.
    More likely considering a murder.
Hopefully a fictional one, for a novel or screenplay.

Actually, that doesn't wash. No writer would be that succinct.
    Hmmmm

Thank you for taking the time to respond, you seem to be like a very eloquent person (in a good way, if there is doubt) but let’s say that “hypothetically” I already have an IV...

If you're hypothetically on IV, you are hypothetically in no position/condition to go shopping for substances to put in it.
If you're already on IV, it's up to your care-giver to help you out.
If you're the caregiver of someone else on IV, you've already been instructed in its use and given the bags to hang.
    hypothetically

On those occasions when I have contemplated suicide, I have settled on hanging because I'm too cheap to spend money on anything else. That might suggest that I was never very serious about suicide.
Whenever I go to the hardware store I find a myriad of potential murder weapons.

If I ever become a serial killer, I'm going to kill people who chew gum.

Discussing suicide methods has been shown to be one of the things that can push would-be suiciders over the edge. Therefore, probably a bad idea, in general.
