So if a pretty girl rejects an ugly guy's advances because she is just not attracted to him, is the rejection evil?

Rejection by the pretty girl may inevitably cause great emotional pain but not physical pain to the ugly guy.

maybe he is not ugly, maybe he is just an asshole
maybe he is super hot but cant commit & has an on again off again relationship with a childhood sweat-heart and the girl just has casual sex with him then says that's all she wants.
    is she evil ?

12 year old reasoning asking 15 year old questions of moral emotional positioning.

what of the parent who tells the child "no" they cant have what they want for their birthday because the parents cant afford to buy it or they think the child has not respected any of the presents it has gotten from other family.
are the parents evil knowing it will cause emotional pain to the child ?

There is very solid evidence that pretty-looking girls are just not attracted to very ugly guys.

I think I look like a computer nerd. I consider myself very ugly and nerdy-looking and it's no wonder that no pretty girl that I ever liked was even remotely interested in me.

how many pretty girls have you liked ?
would you be happy being with a pretty girl who decided to be with you but didn't really like you ?
or an ordinary looking girl who was your soul mate ?

    fyi
    looks are not everything
ive met couples who are devoted long term couples where 1 of them has classic mainstream very attractive features(model looking), and the other has very ordinary features. but they have a special bond. a bond that is stronger than money fast cars or casual sex with super models.
i would guess you have a fairly sheltered life.
you need to meet people like that gay, straight, bi, single, couples who have casual sex with others yet love each other dearly and would never separate.
there is soo much more out there in the world than the tiny microcosm of inwardly defeating mindset that you currently have on like a hat
you need to learn to mingle and gradually take that hat off.

I'd be more scared of other serial killers who are psychopaths. But this 30 minute documentary me and a friend just couldn't watch to the end...

Emotions are our absolute honest response.

Their intent is not to cause emotional harm. Their intent is to help the child by having that child develop a better habit.

I don't really like the term ''evil,'' it seems to suggest that there is an outward force of some kind affecting/infecting an individual, and through no will of the person, he/she is performing heinous acts. We are all responsible for our choices. Even people who are certifiably insane and perhaps not quite capable of making informed decisions because of their condition, that still wouldn't be considered ''evil.'' I think it's a cop out word.

    It's a useless word.

    soo..
a mixed emotional response is ?
(subjective terms of absolute value etc?)

so the child being emotionally upset is not harm ?
note "harm" tends to add a different value to the black or white concept

Agreed. But there are people, in full possession of their faculties, who simply prefer to harm others if it benefits them in any way (and sometimes even if it doesn't.) Evil is a good way to describe them.

If you believe that, then it will be 100% true.

Maybe. Or simply choosing a clinical term like “sociopath” or “psychopath.” Both disorders can trace back to traumatic childhoods, often times. Again, labeling someone as “evil,” suggests that they were born that way. Or possessed by demons.

Neither of which is based in reality.

Right. But some people just plain choose to harm others - without being born that way, or having traumatic childhoods, or having anything else external cause it.

Yea, maybe. There is always a motive, though of some kind.

My understanding of "evil" is that it is where "wrong" behaviour is also aesthetically unpleasant (disgusting).

Ironically when an "evil/wrong doer" acts without feeling (ie unaesthetically) we may find that behaviour even more abhorrent upon reflection.

I am using "wrong" in a relative way-"wrong" as perceived by another .

My only answer to this is

    "Human Beings"

They are all a waste of time.
