In several threads here, on several different topics, we see the mistreatment of people by the US and State and City governments justified on the grounds that the people being abused are criminals. That justification needs a closer look:

power & control corruption used as a model for power.
this creates a need in the psyche of the individual to always seek to find someone at fault.
to maintain a sense of psychological well being they must be always finding fault with someone else and blaming them for their problems.

there are various psychological disorders that also play directly into that process which manifest as interpersonal relationship dynamics of the self interacting in a social context.

lack of self empowerment means they feel weak and so must exert power over someone else to create the lie of control and power over themselves as a material action.
this also leans on a heavy materialistic process that drives many addictions and addictive behavior patterns.

That refrain aims to simultaneously denormalize/reclassify the objects of its utterance.
