    How disappointing.

I clicked on it, thinking it would be a bunch of hippies trying to clean the ozone, reform the system, and make love, but instead, its an article about 2 million muslims making a pilgrimage to Mecca. How mundane. 2 million delusional people who will probably accidentally stampede themselves some innocent victims of their own race in the process.

And then I realized, yeah, this isn't the year 3000, 2018 is just a blip in the year of space-time that is the absolute loveless crap-show that is modern Earth. Primitive humans, being unreasonable, as per-usual.

If you are really irked by absurdity that draws crowds, count your lucky stars you didn't click on things like sporting events, rock concerts, political rallies or shopping mall openings.

I'm not a big fan of crowds myself, mostly due to the risk of people developing mob mentality and starting to behave violent. The biggest crowd in this town is probably seen during the inauguration of the big hay Xmas goat that takes places every year. There's a live webcam to monitor the goat, as it more often than not gets burnt down.

But folk attending these are not united by a common delusion of an unsupported belief in something mythical and unevidenced....or generally perhaps less scarey...not by much I will conceed.
What percentage of a crowd are only there in hope of getting laid?

If I thought they were all maniacs, I might agree with you. Tell me, how would you build your tribe without a spiritual tether?

I actually had errands in town that day was quite surprised of the lack of predicted frenzy. Did however end up bying a pair of very expensive black leather gloves, but I really needed those. In bigger citites this might have been more interesting to witness. One of my teachers told that he had seen two girls fighting on the floor and the guards just stood there shaking their heads.
