    To whom?

This is your same specious definition of 'purpose'. you're not defending it; you're simply re-asserting it.

Do you now why you're unable to defend it, but must simply reassert it?

Because there is no such thing as an objective purpose. Purpose is defined by humans and there are seven billion humans who each do that individually. No one is more right than any other. (Though some are more wrong than others. Namely, those that overreach their ability to assert. They are *provably* wrong).

maybe if everyone agreed on a few fundamentals, but even those are subject to personal opinions

That's unlikely to ever happen with human beings.

What if part of what everyone agrees about is the existence of a set of unanswered questions? I can still imagine curiosity existing in such intellectually collectivist environment where everyone behaves cognitively as one, even if answering a question requires total unanimity about what the question and the correct answer are. (That's never likely to happen unless individual humans get usb ports installed in their heads and become component parts of some giant network.)

Where is it that we want Humanity to go ? Into the Stars ? Leave this planet ?

Can everyone agree on everything , no .

But we can agree , that our Future depends on our attitude towards each other , regardless of race .

The potential of Humanity is unlimited .

i think true meaning of life here would be "everyone has their own point of view".as swami Vivekananda said "live and let live".

No one would get banned on forums? LOL

Joking aside, it would be a horribly boring world, but on the upside, there'd be no wars, prejudice, racism, sexism, etc.

Back on track, I agree with your assertion. There are places where harmony of thought are the norm.

If those who deviate are all eliminated, then everyone who is left would presumably agree about how terrible their deviancy once was.

True, and would we want such a world? Would you?

Even in forums, when there's nothing but an echo chamber, it gets dull very quickly.
