12 Angry Men Malcolm X Forrest Gump Gattaca The Matrix Gofather 1, 2 Clock Work Orange Gohatto 7 Samurai American Beauty Undercover Brother Memento T2 etc etc etc All great movies. I for one cannot rank them, as each appeals in its own way.
My hubby and I are big-time movie buffs, but some of the movies I like, off the top of my head is: (1) The "Harry Potter" movies, (2) "Lord of the Ring" movies (3) "The Matrix" movies (4) "What about Bob?" (5) "Groundhog Day" (6) "Boyz in the Hood" (7) "X-Men" movies (8) "Adaptation" I'm sure there are more that I'm missing but those are what I can remember for now. I don't think I can pick just one as my ultimate favorite. I like different movies for their different styles. (I had to come back and add "Adaptation." Hubby and I watched it recently and I highly recommend it. It's a strange movie, like "Memento," or "Fargo" which I enjoy although they are dark movies, but nevertheless, "Adaptation" is a great movie.
The absolute best movie ever, one that I have seen so many times before and know mostly all the words and to which I have spent many sleepless nights watching is definately; Gettysburg That movie is awesome, anyone else ever see it?

Oh yes, that's a good one. My Dad is a history teacher so I bought it for him a few years back. I even have the soundtrack, the music is very moving.
Rosencrantz and Gildenstern are dead. Adaptation. Both are tremendous movies. Oh yeah and: Fight Club. good point whoever said that above.
Here are the WORST 2 movies Ives seen: 2nd Worst: Reign of Fire The ABSOLUTE worst: Dungeons & Dragons
I think the lesson to be learned here is that everyone loves everbodies' choice in movies. I know I picked a few from each list. I'm a sucker for movies. I do want to add a few of my other favorites that didn't seem to get any attention in this particular thread. Maybe it's their level of sophistication? - Judge Dredd - Bring It On - Shrek - Bridget Jones's Diary And, countless other gems that require nothing more than a lazy mind and open eyes (closed if they're horror movies).
