As you said keep looking for the right doctor that will get you on the right medication. It sometimes takes awhile to find the right medicine and that is why you need to see a doctor to let him/her treat you and watch what the effects are of the medications they give to you. As I said it took me some time but I eventually found what I needed with the doctors help. Just don't go trying to off yourself for you have allot of people that care about you even if you don't think they do. But most importantly you need to try and keep yourself in a good state of mind for you are the only you there is on this planet.

Or a short term solution to a long term problem? Or is that a suicide idiom?

Illegal drugs don't help with mental problems and actually make those problems even worse.

...and the legal ones do/don't? Both options seemed just as dangerous and futile.

Well I'm taking prescription meds now and they have helped me conquer my depression and bipolar problems. So I can say that you are way off base to suggest that all medicines are not any good when millions of people are taking them to either cure their problems or at least control it. If you have an attitude like you are projecting then you won't ever get any help because you think that there's nothing that can help you and that's just foolish to think for it isn't true. You see when you go to the doctor he/she can keep an eye on you when they administer any medications and adjust those if they are causing you any problems.

First step: Ask other people questions, that you cannot possibly answer by yourself. If you get answers you have hints:

    * There is something, that is not part of you (you didn't know the answer before)
    * You are able to communicate this something
    * This something is also able to communicate with you and give you information, which you didn't have before.

Furthermore, try to manipulate your environment and ask other people if these manipulation happened in their recognition of the environemnt too. If they did, you are about as alive as the others and living in a common/shared reality.

You can still be part of a matrix, or the famous "brain in a tube" experiments. But you can be somewhat sure that you live.

    Further signs of live:

    - Metabolism: You eat and poop. You take in oxygen and exhale carbon dioxide.
    - Multiply: Find an agreing member of the oppsite sex and try to have children.

If you are able to communicate, if you have metabolism and if you can have children with the opposite sex, it is _very_ likely that you are alive. It is hard to verify though if these results are just a shared illusion or real. But that is a common problem of all people, it's hard to verify or falsify the "living in a simulation/illusion" thing. Just do what most do - assume you live in a real/virtual/shared reality, and accept that this is good enough to be called life.

The legal ones are regulated and tested and are aimed and targeted at specific issues you may have.

But I think the fact that you have attempted suicide and you have had issues in the past (and/or present), that you should seek to speak to a professional. There are other options that do not require medication. Counseling, drawing up coping mechanisms with a trained professional could be something that you could look into.

I think the fact that you tried to commit suicide only a few weeks ago, raises a lot of red flags and you should seek help from a trained professional as quickly as possible.

As I said in earlier posts: All the stars were aligned for this evening...I doubt I could have an instant replay of said events...As of now, I have my feet planted squarely on terra firma. +death isn't something that should frighten anyone---sane or not.

I practice mindfulness and deep breathing in my more manic/depressed moments. All this amounts to is tuning into whatever is happening to your body right now, including your thoughts, and just observing it passively without fear or judgement. Often you will see that your depression or anxiety is not connected to anything you are. It is like debris in a flowing river, and you have only to let it pass thru you. You are not your feelings or your thoughts. You are the awareness of these states, which steadily pass by like clouds over the moon.

True. In a sense, we are dying every moment, unselfing and then taking on new selfness.

Then I wonder why so many folks struggle for survival? The fear of the unknown?

Fear of pain or a living death through having botched topping their self, will they be left mentally or physically damaged. If there was a guaranteed instant end of life process which was legal, I wonder how long the queue would be?

That there are laws that govern this possible outcome/solution is absolutely abhorrent....you have to commit sometype of heinous crime to garner a death sentence and even then there are folks that want to keep the heart pumping!

Probably so. Although in reality there is no reason to fear the unknown. It's only loss of control that we fear. Letting go, we learn to accept whatever arises.
