I asked you by what measure is the US the largest state in the history of humanity. You now appear to be contradicting yourself....oops. So now you admit the US isn't the largest state in the history of humanity. As you point out, China has a billion more people. So contrary to your previous assertion, the US is not the largest state in the history of humanity.

Well, that just isn't true. Your so called "statists" are people who believe in rational thought. They are not wedded to ideology as you are. Your so called "statists" are folks who appreciate evidence and reason. Unfortunately, the word "statist" has become a derogatory word used by right wingers to avoid reality and dealing with rational thought and evidence.

Yes, the US does imprison larger numbers as a percent of its population. But that doesn't mean the US imprisons people for being unable to pay their debts as you have alleged. You were asked to name ONE debtor prison in the US, you can't. That's why all the obfuscation on your part. Because contrary to your assertions, people are not imprisoned for debt in the US and the US doesn't have debtor prisons.

As has been endlessly explained to you the reason the US imprisons a higher percentage of its population is because drug sentences are long in the US. Longer sentences equates to more people in prisons. It really shouldn't be that difficult to understand if you had a free mind, a mind which was capable of rational and honest thought.

That's just more of your usual demagoguery Michael. One state out of 50 licenses florists. US regulations are not as onerous or as invasive as you make them out to be. There are no doubt stupid laws, stupid regulations and stupid enforcers. But that doesn't mean regulations are bad as you assert. It just means they are not perfect. Having built commercial buildings in a number of locations, I have some first had experience with stupid regulations and enforcers. But that doesn't mean regulation is bad, unneeded and wasteful as you believe. The reason we have many regulations is because not having them caused problems.

The US Government imprisons more humans than any other State in human history - including China, even thought China has 1 billion more people.

Oh, and some of the people in prison are there because they didn't pay their debts.

As for the US Government being the largest most powerful institution in human kind, what exact measure do you need to make this clear to you Joe? It seems self evident to most people that at this time in history, the US Government literally dwarfs all but a few other State Governments.

It certainly dwarfs any private institution in the USA with the exception of the Fascistic Central Reserve Bank of New York which has gained it's fiat currency monopoly through State violence.

What I find interesting is how the same institution that imprisons the most humans in all of history (many for non-violent life style choices), that is also the largest polluter in human history, that also wastes the most limited resources, cannot manage to teach children to read and write within a decade, and invades other countries over made-up phony evidence only to murder millions of women and children HAS the support of millions of little Statists like yourself. Not only that, but you Statists point the blame at "Evil" corporations like Koch Industries or Apple Inc or Toyota as the problem in society - as if these could even hold a candle to the size and scope of the pure Evil perpetrated by the US Government. Not only that, THEY ONLY stay in business providing goods and services, whereas the State just threatens to murder you if you don't pay it.

Now for your latest assertion that the US imprisons more people than any other state, let's see some proofs. My guess is like everything else, you have none.

No one other than the Chinese state knows how many people they imprison. So you cannot possibly know how if the US imprisons more people than any other country in human history. Based on estimates, the US and China imprison similar numbers of individuals. That's the best you can honestly say Michael. But none of that is relevant to the original issue under discussion....remember your assertion about debtor prisons? You claim they exist today in the US. You have been repeatedly challenged to name just one debtor prison you claim exists today in the US and you have repeatedly failed to answer that question. Then prove it. As I wrote previously, some people are in jail because they failed to obey a court order. They failed to pay a court ordered fine or court ordered child support. They aren't jailed because they didn't pay their debts.

Yeah, the US is undoubtedly the most powerful country in the world, militarily, economically, and politically. But what does that have to do with your assertions? You are moving the goalpost. I have already pointed out, China has more employees that the US. So if you measure of "big" as measured by bodies, per your original post, then Chinese government is bigger than the US government.

The US government is certainly the single largest employer in the US it is also the most powerful entity inside the US. That kind of goes along with being a government gig and being a sovereign state. You could say the same of the UK or France or most any other country on the planet. It goes along with being a sovereign state.

At some point Europeans were going to run out of other people's money to spend and so they'd need more people. Sadly, most of these people won't be producing the goods and services required to maintain a high tech and industrialized country like Germany. So it simply won't continue as it has. Instead (IMO) Germany and Sweden et.al. will change so that they'll begin to look more and more like a combination of multicultural USA and the middle east.

Social programs will, of course, be routed - so you better get yours while you can, because in the end, they'll have to be cut. More money will be diverted AWAY from "Free" primary healthcare and "Free" education to instead pay for an increased Police presence and larger government doing all the redistribution 'For the Good of Society" like maintaining Generational Welfare Ghettos, etc..... Thus, EU Citizens will just have to get used to living with low level fear, being spied on by the State, and double locking their doors at night (bared windows for those in the city). At least Germans in the Eastern side of Germany have some experience with living in a Police State. So, they'll probably normalize quick enough.

In many ways we all owe Europeans a great debt of gratitude. I've heard increasing calls by some in Japan to open up the flood gates (regardless of if the Japanese citizenry likes it or not - which they don't). So, with Europe leading by example, it will become quite clear that not all Jerbs are created equal. Digging ditches and filling them in again, is NOT the path to prosperity. Building houses for other people to live in, growing food for other people to eat, etc... reduces YOUR standard of living. Meanwhile, seniors who immigrate to Sweden receive the so-called "elderly support subsidy" -- usually a higher amount -- even though they have never paid any taxes in Sweden. Worse, in 2013 the government decided that people staying in the country illegally have a right to virtually free health and dental care. So while the destitute Swedish senior citizen must choose between paying 100,000 kronor ($12,000) to get new teeth or living toothless, a person who does not even have the right to stay in Sweden can get his teeth fixed for 50 kronor ($6). (obviously the taxes are too low, everyone knows: More taxes = moar freeeeeeee)

The injustice, the housing shortage, the chaos surrounding refugee housing units and the sharp slide of Swedish students in PISA tests -- all these changes have caused the Swedes to become disillusioned. The last straw was that Prime Minister Löfven had nothing to say about the murders at IKEA.

When it comes to subjective experiences like love, hate, empathy (even pathological empathy as we see in Europe) and the like - it's almost anyone's guess. And for me, I'd guess that the climate in Scandinavian may have selected for two behavior: cooperation and shunning. Why these two? Well, to live through the winter, working with others would be very advantageous. However, in all societies (including fruit flies), there are bludgers. My guess is, when push came to shove, bludgers were left out in the cold to starve to death in Sweden. They'd have had to do so. When winter comes and you only have enough to just barely, maybe, keep you and your family alive, fed and safe from dying. You're not going to help the neighbor who didn't do squat all summer in preparation.

Thus, it is my opinion, Swedes will be the nicest people on earth, until they're not. When whatever clicks over from empathy to hatred, well, when that happens. Sweden is not going to be a nice place to live.

In what is being described as a 'Monstrous' coordinated rape attack, over 1000 North African and Arab men descended on a popular New Years Eve area of Cologne, attacking women, families and tossing fireworks into crowds of people. At least one woman was just outright gang-raped. Another German couple returning home (a father, his 15 year old daughter and wife) were surrounded. The father was beaten and humiliated while his daughter and wife sexually assaulted in front of him. One guy watched as his girlfriend was pulled away and he was tossed to the ground, beaten and sent to the hospital. She was sexually assaulted. At least 90 women were assaulted, and probably much more. Most also had their purses and valuables stolen, many had fingers crammed into their anuses and vaginas as their breasts were groped - leaving bruises and other physical and psychological damage.

Because German news does't want to 'frighten' the tax-paying sheeple, it didn't report ANY of this. It was social media that broke the stories individually. It's now apparent this was coordinated and happened in other cities. The Police Chief said they aren't sure what to do about the year's other festivities - probably have to call in the Police State.. Geee, how much fun that'll be celebrated next to a guy with a gun to protect you from the people you're partying with.

That aside, over here in monocultureal Japan, I was walking around the city at night without a care in the world. Kids as young as 6 riding (try to fathom that) alone on packed trains into the city - yes, unaccompanied. And not a care in the world. Not a machine gun or spy camera in sight. Imagine that?! No TSA to stick a finger in your anus when you take the train either, or fly. Oh, and get this, somehow all of the problems in Japan (and there are some problems, like too many old people) are NOT blamed on Japanese men. I know - weird isn't it. Not white men either. And Japanese women, I know this is strange, WANT to stay home and raise kids at least until they go to school. Whaaat? No 6 week day 'care'? Isn't THAT odd. And yet, somehow, Japan is a very prosperous, conservative, society.

We could have had a version of this society. And I for one think the USA should be open to more highly skilled multiculturalism, due to the way the nation was founded. But that can ONLY happen without a generous welfare State. You cannot have both. One or the other.

Oh well. Not now.

So, thank you Germany and Sweden, I was actually worried this was going to happen in Japan. Now? I seriously don't think so.

RE: Safe Space

AND, just as I suggested, the Cologne mayor Henriette Reker suggests that these poor wittle rape-gangs had no idea of what they were doing when they organized to go out and rape and plunder. No no no, they need a safe space and we need to be tolerant of different attitudes towards women.

Reker is maintaining that it is Germans (particularly German women) who needed to modify their behavior and the 'migrants' only need to have a good sit down and talking to, you know, because they didn't understand gang-raping a 15 year old and her mother while kicking her father's head in was wrong.

Express: Polizei-Führer berichtet Meine Nacht mit dem brutalen Mob

Speaking to the Express newspaper, the senior officer—who was not named by the paper for fear of persecution for daring to speak out—said that there had been fifteen arrests by his unit on the night—and that fourteen were “Syrians” and one was from Afghanistan. These arrestees had “definitely only been in Germany for a few days or weeks,” the police officer said. “That’s the truth. Although it hurts.”

 

A couple social phenomena I find interesting here.

1) The extent to which Progressive 'Democratic' Socialism has taken hold in Sweden. One theory suggests that Swedes are, and always have been, very religious. It's a case of Big God, Little State versus modern Sweden: Big State, Little God. The 'Religion' in Sweden is Progressive Socialism. And, like any fanatical belief system, the adherents are so brainwashed that even in the midst's of a rape epidemic, housing epidemic and near social collapse and economic collapse (the UN suggests Sweden, once a prosperous nation, will drop WAY DOWN to #45 - third world status) they are still in the throws of State-worship. The scary thing is, when the pendulum swings back, well - as I've always said, Europeans can be some of the nicest people you've even met, until they aren't.

2) The self-loathing of Swedish culture in Sweden by Swedes. Why? I don't really get that one. It's as if multiculturalism is 'good' because it'll eradicate Swedish culture which is 'bad'. That's interesting. I've never heard such a thing in Japan. Japanese LOVE Japanese culture. Here, again, I think it's a case of Left having taken control of the narrative - as well as the shift away from being a bit religious. Japan is in many regards, conservative. They're also very superstitious. Buddhism and Shinto polytheism play a large role in the way Japanese view life. Japan is also quite free-market, in many many MANY ways Japanese are MUCH freer than Americans.

Also, the oligarchs in Japan have decided it is to remain a monoculture whereas the Swedish Progressives finally got what they wanted: Multiculturalism. You know, because it's worked out so well for the Middle East. Multiculturalism in the West, apparently also means you can hate white men, but everyone else, including roaming bands of rape-gangs and no-go ghettos, well, they're at least not white so, they're fine. Japan obviously doesn't have this problem. It's not possible to single out Asians from Asians.

3) Essentially, the story of Progressive 'Democratic' Socialism is one where you have to sell hate. Self-hate, lack of trust, and thus the need for State violence to 'fairly' redistribute for the Good of Society. You know, because you can't trust the people around you to deal with you fairly. Maybe 40 years of Progressive Propagands in Sweden finally worked? You know, we see the same in the USA where the 'evil' Koch Brothers are to blame for *insert whatever, oh I don't know, the GM bankruptcy, Katrina, whatever.....*

I don't really see so much of this in Japan, and the Welfare State in Japan is very small. I'll give you an example. I was recently told about a 'Refugee' from Malysia who lives in a Western country with his family. Now, to get to this far West, takes some money and most 'refugees' are more economic migrants. Anyway, so this guy lives in a 5 bedroom 3 bathroom mansion that he rents from a company. Now that his entire family has been brought over, he's raking in around 2000 a week off Social Services. Oh, and he just so happens to own the company that owns the house IN the country he's a refugee from. THAT is how insane the Social Democrats have made things in the West. This guys is a millionaire and owns the company that rents him the house. Insane isn't it? He takes out 2000 a day from 5 ATM using bankcards issued overseas, buys gold and jewels etc.. which he keeps in a safe. The 2000 he rakes in a week on 'Welfare' is just cream. So, he bought a pool and tennis court. Now, contrast this with Japan (who took in a total of around 14 refugees last year). A family relative who didn't save and now is too old to work, he lives on Japanese pension for people who don't have a business pension. It's sort of what everyone has to pay into and the minimum you can get. He's living on 500 a month. A marked difference. When I inquire about this, his family members say he should have been more responsible, he should have saved, he shouldn't drank so much, and he should have taken better care of his kids, and they'd be there to care for him. He didn't, so he doesn't deserve much. 500 a month is enough to 'live' on - barely. Oh, could you imagine the Progressive Left whining in the West at the mere thought of personal responsibility! HA!!! You'd never hear the end of it. This, we have refugees living like Kings and the rest of society barely getting by.

4) Demographics. One thing I cannot get my mind wrapped around how MaMa Merkel, who has clearly articulated multiculturalism doesn't work in Germany, is doing this. Has she changed her mind? She now lives in a bubble? She's being blackmailed? Why the about face? One theory is that Germany (Sweden etc...) can no longer afford the generous Welfare States they promised the plebs when they got elected. So, what can't be paid for, won't be. How is it possible to remove such generous benefits after everyone has come to expect them? Well, one way is to let in a few million refugees who will abuse both the welfare system as well as make it obviously unattainable. The data I read is refugees pretty much remain a net negative in terms of economic benefit. Mostly because most don't have the skills that are needed. Many remain on welfare and many of those that remain on welfare get stuck on it. Soon, they're pretty much like our own generational welfare recipients. At best, they're a net neutral. THESE ARE NOT refugees. Many of these people are passing many safe countries just to GET ON Welfare in Germany. That is insane. But, perhaps not? Who knows?

One way to get rid of something is to destroy it. Then you can scapegoat the refugees for your lies. A story as old as time.


Either way, looks like Progressive Socialism/Communism/Statism has destroyed another few societies - bye bye Utopians Sweden and Germany.
