Crisis here, crisis there, crisis everywhere! What ever you do , don't look under your bed, 'cause there will be a crisis there too! It seems to me that every where you look we have a crisis of some kind. Domestic violence Ice addiction Global Health Syria ISIL Other terrorists activity Refugees in Europe, Middle East Global warming Climate change Magnetosphere declination and so on.... What is the lesson in all this I wonder? Certainly a test for crisis management skills IMO
The lesson is that no news organization ever got rich by reporting on the 99.9% of events in the world that are not crises.
I had to google ice addiction. First I though it was a joke, then perhaps and actual addiction to ice ( regular frozen water ice) and saw images of hotel lobbys where people were hogging ice buckets and wallowing in ice cubes, then I thought it could be another word for the polarcaps melting..and then I googled. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! That's how "savvy" I am. Is that really a crisis? I'm an expert on crisis management though, one just has to talk calmly and come with small constuctive advice to what can be done immediately. Talk to people in their own "language" and assure them everything will be fine, in time.
