She invited me to invite her to coffee or dinner which led to an extended relationship until I had the opportunity to study with Bucky Fuller and moved about 400 miles away.

I'm starting to think we have this beauty concept all mixed up. If so called beautiful people are hated and feared then perhaps they are the ugly ones.
The aesthetics serves to sell a constructed image to promote certain products. Is symmetry really the key to beauty? I find centered text appalling for example ( unless in some poetic instances, where the shape of the text becomes intereting when centered) while some consider it "classy". In todays society with the wide plethora of fetishes the concept of beauty has transgressed the glossy magazines.

It's easy to find beauty in things that are, by any other definition, ugly. It might be that imperfection is, in truth, perfection. I've yet to meet a person that I would label ugly, possibly because there is always something unique about each person.

I read somewhere long ago that people tend to focus on and favor extremes, exaggerated features. And there might be some truth to that notion.

True beauty comes from the inside. When the greatness of your soul and the love in your heart shines through. I consider that an asset..... What? It's Christmas soon, someone has to start the cheesyness.

In terms of what evolution has prepared us for - yes. However those drives can be strongly modified by society.

Often beginning with an aesthetic appreciation
1)easily dispelled by an ugly negative mind
2)or enhanced by a beautiful and passionate mind
    .................

Lauren Bacall seemed to enhance her beauty by diverting from symmetry. The tilt of the head and sideways glance made me all aquiver as a lad.

She definitely had something beyond simple symmetry. She made you want to learn to whistle.

Style is evil be chival somehow. It has to do with nature and all things. As long as we let our imagination have a hell style and nature are cursed with a third of creation. Everything in hell a thing every thing a self every said a nature every nature style.
