You know, I don't even know what the real meaning of the word philosophy is exactly. I think of it as like you said ones perception of the world and all its aspects. Doesn't the study of human consiousness have its own name? Like psychology or something?
I don't think I would put a human-centred restriction on philosophy. The nature of reality, even in the absence of humanity, is a legitimate question. Does non-human life have a morality? And so on. Cheers, Ron.
Ya, I would add that to it. That was a very human chauvinistic way of looking at it. So its more like the study of human consciousness, our preception of reality, and reality itself. Philosophy is the science of ideas. Principally ideas refer only to another ideas. Reallity can be used as a reference but such reference is not obligatory. It differs from the art of literature only by strict reasoning logic.
