Well, I'm old enough that my boots need to be resoled. But yes, I am like a child when in the presence of the magnificent Greatest I Am, as are all mortals.

What are you selling ? It seams you have the answer for the world problems. Jesus had the answers but humanity crucified Him
Keep in mind not all members of a religious group are in agreement with the philosophy of the organization that they carry the label. As an example take Catholic church and Martin Luther. Among Muslim not all murder the infidels. Not all Jews discriminate the Goim.
So please stop. putting every group in the same bucket.

If they do not believe in the tradition and dogma of the religion they say they belong to then they should not lie about what they are.

If you wave a liberal flag and are a conservative then you are a liar and are miss-representing yourself.

Jesus was just another wanabe and his poor morals show it.

Have a look at his divorce law for instance and see how immoral and anti-love it is.

That is just one of a few of his immoral tenets. Would you tell Jews to love their enemy as they marched into the ovens?

Of course only the Greatest I Am would know the truth. Many may think it presumptuous, arrogant, and the height of hubris to call themselves Greatest I Am, but not I. Some may even question the sanity of a schmuck that would call himself Greatest I Am, but not I. I know better.

Spell how do you want the world to be !!!!! Otherwise stop attacking every system , and you have nothing to offer .

Someone might wonder why an avatar name is being given reality.

Great minds discuss ideas; average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people. Eleanor Roosevelt

You might not be done, little minded child, but I am.

My way of course, like all of us who are not living in mental poverty.

Jesus said, "If those who attract you say, 'See, the Kingdom is in the sky,' then the birds of the sky will precede you.
If they say to you, 'It is under the earth,' then the fish of the sea will precede you.
Rather, the Kingdom of God is inside of you, and it is outside of you.
[Those who] become acquainted with [themselves] will find it; [and when you] become acquainted with yourselves, [you will understand that] it is you who are the sons of the living Father.
But if you will not know yourselves, you dwell in poverty and it is you who are that poverty."

Our instinct to be the fittest all lead us to that desire. Those who do not show that or agree show they are not the fittest and are just your average sheeple.

Some would say that Greatest I Am says one thing but does another, but not I. Some would say that Greatest I Am does not know when he is making contradictory posts which appear very ironically silly, but not I. Those that say these things are blasphemers!

Religions are not fairy tales for adults.

Religion are fair tales for those with uncritical minds.

That is that good old fear of God.

Lying priest love it when sheeple truly believe their indoctrination of hell.

There are quite a few reports on the damage that that false belief does to children as well as adults but the priests will not tell the truth as that might hurt the bottom line.

Wait... did you just refer to some passages in the Bible with a literal reading?

I did not quote anything but yes, I did refer to what Jesus is said to have said.

How else could I talk of his divorce policies?

If you have another way then lets hear it. I am always eager to learn something new. Learning something new is one of the greatest pleasures in life.

Oh, I was just curious how you reconcile that with your criticism of those who take a literal reading. Just seemed a little contradictory to me. After all, perhaps there is a deeper meaning there that a literal reading misses. Or do you think it should just be read on a surface level?

I see what you are after.

Here is my best advice on how to read myths.

    http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/03132009/watch.html

Rabbi Hillel, the older contemporary of Jesus, said that when asked to sum up the whole of Jewish teaching, while he stood on one leg, said, "The Golden Rule. That which is hateful to you, do not do to your neighbor. That is the Torah. And everything else is only commentary. Now, go and study it."

Please listen as to what is said about literal reading.

"Origen, the great second or third century Greek commentator on the Bible said that it is absolutely impossible to take these texts literally. You simply cannot do so. And he said, "God has put these sort of conundrums and paradoxes in so that we are forced to seek a deeper meaning."

Please excuse me for not not reading the entire thread before responding.

How can you encourage sanity in a people who have been indoctrinated for centuries to believe in some "spirit in the sky"?

Belief in God is a symptom of a deeper problem that should be included in the DSM's next edition, but that won't happen, any more than the fucking bankers will held accountable for (pun intended) for the horrors they have inflicted in the name of progressive capitalism.

Bored now, dead later: The thieves still win...
