Alternatives to the crucifixion story

Christ on the cross, between two thieves, was new in terms of symbolism. This imagery places the son of god, between two criminals. This implies the son of God was the center of crime. This symbolism was a parody of human law, which could no longer differentiate between objective and subjective good and evil; it was all relative to power and opinion. The tradition says the old law was nailed to the cross, with Christ, so humans; children of the promise, were no longer under law, but now were under faith. The children of the bondwomen remained under law as slaves to law.

In the story of the two thieves, one of the thieves sees no crime or blame in Jesus and does not see why he is being punished. He accepts his own fate as a criminal but asks to be remember by Jesus in his kingdom; faithful. The other thief is not repentant, but is still scamming, trying to con Jesus to free them all from justice; self lawyering. This symbolism shows that law, was not a good system, because the repentant are punished and not forgiven, while the unrepentant learn to scam their freedom with lawyers. Father forgive them, for they know not what they do.
