    Are they related?

I would look it up on google, but chances are all I'll find is a bunch of crap about the illuminati and secret agendas, I thought I heard a few years ago that there is some connection between the words "Satan" and "Saturn", but I don't know anything else, I do know that the word "Lucifer" is connected to one of the sons of the roman goddess venus, so I don't doubt that there is some connection between satan and saturn, but does anyone know more about this?

    Thank you for your time.

M*W: Hello to All! Haven't been here in a while, but I'd like to comment on your post. I have never heard an association between Saturn and Satan. I study the astro-theological view of the solar system. My beliefs are that the Sun (a star) represents God the Father, creator of all life. First, let me say that I don't take these associations literally but based on ancient human man-made myths. Venus is called "the Morningstar." It rises with the Sun, making it an adversary to the Sun just as Satan/Lucifer is an adversary to God. Angels are represented by stars with Lucifer as their leader in the "rebellion." The whole story of the nativity is based on astro-theological myths. All man-made. Jupiter, for example, represents Peter, the Jew. The signs of the zodiac represent the 'manger.' I could go on about this until hell freezes over, but I won't. I have posted thousands of posts on this subject. They are probably in the archives. I wish I had more time to extrapolate. As far as Saturn being Satan, it could be a myth. They had rudimentary telescopes even thousands of years ago, and Saturn would have been about the most distant body they could have seen out in the darkness, and the darkness is where Satan/Lucifer lives, etc..

    What about Satan and Santa?

Both wear red and live in a location that is at the extremes of temperature...

Yes, Satan is Saturn's second cousin on his mother's side.

"Saturn" was the name of a god in the distant past, before the Italic people built the Roman Empire. It doesn't seem to have any cognates in the other Indo-European languages, so it's possible that the name was borrowed from the Etruscans, the civilization that had already been built in southeastern Europe before the Celts, Greeks and Romans arrived. We have so few fragments of the Etruscan language, and virtually none of their DNA, that we have absolutely no idea where they came from or whom they might have been related to. It's generally conceded that they were not Indo-Europeans, unless they were a separate tribe who had arrived long before the Celtic and Italic people.

"Satan," on the other hand, is a word in Ancient Hebrew meaning "adversary."

The telescope was invented in 1608, 407 years ago. Saturn is one of the 5 planets visible in the night sky without the aid of a telescope.
