Question. Can a 25 year old male pursuing a masters degree in Business make money out teaching about computers or fixing computers in OH? In Akron, to be exact? He is really good with computers. He just can't get a full time work or he will sacrifice his studies.

I don't know, but think most just buy a newer more powerful computer for less money when the old one breaks - One I'm now using was bought as old one's hard drive became erratic (I thanked it for that as backed up most I wanted to keep) and then quit. I still have it but why I don't know.

I suggest you keep up with changing federal regulations (or only OH's) and offer - "re-programing" service to small business that need to modify their codes to comply, if you are good at programing too.

I'm unaware of businesses in Ohio so that I really can't say much to help. I would call around to see what opportunities exist in that line of work . It doesn't take much time to ask about those jobs he is looking for and that would be a good way to see if there are jobs.

Definitely. I think IT is one of the industries that will never stop growing. But since he is still studying, working part time is the only option.Better than none. Good luck.

Ohio is one of the worst states for jobs...so I advise that 25 year to move away from midwest.

Hogwash, not so long ago I lived in Ohio and IT jobs were plentiful. We couldn't find enough skilled people to hire. If you live in some small out of the way town in Ohio, then yeah getting an IT job might be more problematic. But that would be true anywhere. And if you don't have the requisite social or technical skills, yeah, jobs are going to hard to find. But that will be true virtually anywhere.

There are new companies opening in Akron and the surrounding areas, mostly sales one. He really can't afford to work full time right now, so he is looking for part time work. I will ask him to try for part time jobs in companies. He used to work with parachutetechs or seagate. I can't really remember. These two are big IT companies and I am sure he is good in tech support.

Try offering his computer skills online, there is a market for freelance IT services online. I've seen many when I was looking for a third party that can market our business website.
