Star Trek star Leonard Nimoy has passed away, The New York Times has reported. Nimoy, who played Mr. Spock on the original Star Trek series, was hospitalized last week following complaints of severe chest pains. Nimoy revealed last year that he had been diagnosed with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. According to the Times, Nimoy's wife Susan Nimoy confirmed the death while confirming COPD as the official cause of his death. ......................... We have lost another of the Greats... a man who not only played an iconic role in a fabulous series, but a man who was also deeply moved by the thoughts of what his appearances taught others.
