The death of Nemtsov, a 55-year-old former deputy prime minister, ignited a fury among opposition figures who assailed the Kremlin for creating an atmosphere of intolerance of any dissent and called the killing an assassination. Putin quickly offered his condolences and called the murder a provocation.

Nemtsov was working on a report presenting evidence that he believed proved Russia's direct involvement in the separatist rebellion that has raged in eastern Ukraine since last April. Ukraine and the West accuse Russia of backing the rebels with troops and sophisticated weapons. Moscow denies the accusations.

So we now know how Putin gets rid of his rivals. Seems the next person to be murdered would be Putin himself.

just shows to what extent the so called Opposition funded by USA goes to, to create chaos in Russia.

Nemtsov murder is a provocation created just few days before the spring marches in Russia, nicely timed to put the blame on Putin. But Russians know better than to be swayed by these provocations and no US sponsored Maidan like march is going to put Russia in chaos or turmoil.

Brent prices are going up and will go up.

Obama's rhetoric on destroying Russian economy as up his *ss.

And this murder of the leader of opposition will be traced to those who are responsible and not to what is CONVENIENT FOR THE WEST.

but if you are so darn naive about this whole situation and are blaming Putin of ordering to kill main opposition guy right next to Kremlin, well go ahead, be blind. I DONT CARE.

So you have verifiable proof that the murder was orchestrated by opposition activists in order to blame your hero, Rasputin? Or is this just more inside info from that crazy cokehead at the strip club?

If they don't go up in the next 6 months and Russia's recession proceeds on schedule, should I hold my breath waiting for you to admit that you're full of shit?

Why are you taking the time to post here if you don't care?

So Putin shoots down a commercial airliner with 250 aboard, invades the Ukraine, sends in thousands of regular troops with tanks to take over and kills thousands of innocent civilians and you think Putin isn't capable of killing his opponent? I'd say you were not reading what's going on and refuse to see the truth about Putin. You want to see Putin as some kind of great leader but ask those who he has murdered, including his opposition, what they think. Russia doesn't have a varied export for it only sells oil and weapons.

And where is your evidence the Russian opposition is funded by the USA? You have none, because none exists. You are pulling stuff out of your derriere again or perhaps you haven’t taken your meds.
Oh yeah, the Russian people know so much so well. J Again, do you have any evidence? No you don’t. Putin’s opponents have a habit of dropping dead. Nemtsov was interviewed by several members of the Western press and the risks he faced living in Russia were discussed. Nemtsov never once blamed the West for anything and he acknowledged he risked his life in Mother Russia by dissenting. Nemtsov was about to tell the truth about Ukraine to his fellow Russians. Putin could not and cannot tolerate that revelation.

I think you are deluding yourself. Brent prices are up a bit. It’s called a dead cat bounce. Brent prices have been fairly stable at about 60 dollars per barrel since February 13. And Mother Russia needs over 100 dollars per barrel. Oil producers are reacting to lower oil prices by producing more oil in an attempt to replace lost revenues. That will mean more oil supply in the coming months and lower prices. Further, over the coming months US refiners will be shutting down for annual maintenance and when they do, they will stop buying oil for a time. Oil prices are still heading south.
What rhetoric would that be exactly? Obama has been very subdued with respect to Mother Putin, especially when compared to some other Western powers.
Translation, you hope to Hell Putin is not found to be responsible for this murder regardless of the fact. Actually, I think that is a pretty safe bet. Putin will not allow himself to be implicated in Nemtsov’s murder. http://www.foxnews.com/world/2015/02/28/russian-investigators-fail-to-mention-nemtsov-was-top-putin-critic/

This is the same Putin who has consistently and routinely assassinated his political opponents as well as his own people in order to achieve his political goals. http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/putins-way/

World leaders have condemned this political assassination. http://www.theguardian.com/world/2015/feb/27/russian-opposition-politician-boris-nemtsov-shot-dead-moscow-reports

Nemtsov knew the risk he took when he voiced opposition to Putin. He is on record acknowledging the risk before several Western journalists. One interview location had to be changed because the proprietor didn’t want to run afoul of Putin’s thugs.
Said the blind man...perhaps if you were not so involved in making excuses for Mother Putin you would have some time to ask questions like why is it everyone who opposes Putin winds up dead, in jail or in exile or why the investigation into those 4 apartment buildings was squelched by Putin?
