i've been wanting to know what exactly is string theory for quite a while now. whenever i google it i just get sites with complicated equations. could someone explain this to me in very simple terms.
find a copy of "An Eligent Universe" @ your local book store or library. I can't hope to explain it any better.
Re: Re: String Theory? Well -'Elegant' (Greene) - but I do agree. Unless you're a specialist. cheers, ron.
Hehe, forget about string theory... It`s old hat.... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Check out this easy to read site about the successor to that theory, <b>M-Theory</b>.... http://www.theory.caltech.edu/people/jhs/strings/
where to go for strings Well, I asked myself the same question about a month ago and I came across superstringtheory.com. An EXTREMELY beginner-friendly website that explains everything from the origins of strings and how they account for modern particle physics. It is divided into beginner and advanced. Beginner for non-uni students; advanced for post-grads (very hardcore mathematics!). Anyway, it sure helped me! Cheers, have fun! Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
