Sometimes I hate the ability to be able to think, I hate the sometimes random thoughts, the thing I hate is feeling the need to share those thoughts, some thoughts only become an idea if shared, to not share a thought is like keeping a secret to yourself.
Is the thought an idea, an idea needs sharing, but how do I know my thought is not an idea.

So here is a thought, if I took apart the Crookes device and placed the rotating part of the device in space, then the device part would have no friction and rotate away.

A suited song for the thought.

Apparently (from my reading) this devise doesn't work in a hard vacuum (like space).

What makes you think there's no friction with this device? If it is on a thin metal shaft that would mean it is creating friction on the head of that shaft. This isn't as good as photoelectric cells for they don't move, unless they are tracking the sun, and make about 35 percent energy from the sun. That would seem better to me.

There is no friction because it would be just the propeller part with no shaft.

It was just a thought , did not really want a debate.

But here is the idea for fun.

The fan must be attached to something or else it would just spin with the energy it created going nowhere.

Light is directional, it should spin and go the direction the light is travelling.
