Is that the record? I note: An empty wagon rolls fastest and makes the most noise, but has no content. * Times shown on my screen in Brazil.
In character, it seems so, but not in post rate. He has 211 posts now on 21Dec14 and this was at 3:16PM on day he joined 18Dec14 : http://www.sciforums.com/threads/9-11-was-an-inside-job.114344/page-68#post-3255685 He is not banned yet, but would it would take big effort to match The.Ring's post every 7 minutes rate. I think we need a rule for this title contest. I suggest contester for title must not be banned in less than a normal 8-hour working day. We can't have someone breaking Sciforum's rules just to get banned soon after cranking out say new rule breaking post every 5 minutes, until banned. BTW while looking at long standing first posts, I noticed that old coyote has only 1 made 10 days ago at: http://www.sciforums.com/threads/geopolymers-fire-paste.69838/#post-3252796 and it is brief but surely not the record as there must be a "1-poster" not yet banned who posted earlier. Who ever make earliest one only post and is not banned has a "firm grip" on this "lowest positing" rate title.
since when was proliferation a reason to be banned? he seemed to be legit. was he a puppet? and why did paddoboy try to derail a thread and draw him into a religious type of argument? the thread about telescopes i believe. you will never get off my ignore list paddoboy.
Are those figures accurate? I'm skeptical. (That seems to be my normal state, I guess.) I only encountered 'The Ring's' posts a few times. Each of the posts I saw wasn't a quick mindless one-liner. His/her posts were more substantial, well-written and showed signs of thought beforehand. I know that it takes me more than seven minutes to craft most of my posts. There must have been lots of shorter posts that I never saw. Yet if that was the case, this individual's name would presumably have shown up as 'last post' on lots of threads and I don't recall seeing that. Maybe I just happened not to be on the board during those 13 hours. Right. That's probably the most prolific new poster that I've seen in a while, a torrent of posts, all of them pretty vacuous. Given the spelling and grammatical errors, and the fact that many posts seem to be composed in seconds, I'd guess that it's a teenager with a cell-phone. From hints dropped here and there. I think that he/she might be located in India.
Well at one point in time The.Ring had the "last post" showing on 5 consecutive threads listed on the main Scifoums page and a couple of others too. You can still, I think find one of his posts and confirm he made 111 of them with the last before ban at 46 minutes after the hour - which hour may be different depending on where you are. I'm not sure I found his first post -did not waste much time on that, but an early one of day he joined I gave link to in this thread OP.
The Ring didn't give much thought to most of the posts. They generally all said the same thing..."man can't know that, don't bother with science, only God can know that, etc." I agree that "madethesame" is a teenage somewhere and that English isn't his/her first language. Most of the posts are nonsense and are just a jumble of words. He/she is also the master of bringing back threads that are years old.
