The Ring, you need to read a little before you form your opinions. In this context a flat universe doesn't imply that it's not 3-D.

Well then, if you have read more than I, does this infer that you or some book author that you have read, knows the shape of the universe?

The answer is no it does not, and if you chose to read everything on the subject, and listen to every lecture on this subject, you would be no closer to knowing this information, than any person who lives his or her entire life outside of society. Sometimes the key to knowledge, is knowing what not to learn.

Yes, I get that knowing what not to learn is your method. It's just not a very good one.

Please be my guest, spend all of your time learning about the universe, this is noble.............................but how is it that, you know the shape of the universe, where it began and where it will end, but that you do not hear the grasshopper, at your feet.

No I did not know that, thanks for the information. I will reprocess my neural net with this new information. Have you seen Sarah Connor?

you must understand what does it mean for "flat" in 3D.

You must understand, that nothing is known about the beginning middle or end of the universe, but that this fact does not stop books from being sold. Seriously if quantum entanglement, is what it seems, then information is being sent far faster than the speed of light, which proves Einstein wrong. Flat, 3d, spheroid, elliptical, oval, round, it does not matter, this information is available to no human. Desire to know, is not knowing.

If everyone had your mindset the computer and internet that you are currently using would not exist. You can't get from here to there using the Bible.

You wouldn't be if it wasn't for science in general.
I mean that great old man/pixie in the sky, certainly did not let out with any booming voice how to operate and build a computer did he?

I'm sure he actually understands where you are coming from.
I'm sure he knows the above is total bunkum.
We have a reasonable hold on the Universe/spacetime, from 10-43 seconds after the initial event 13.83 billion years ago, and are able to confidently predict our future based on existing theories such as the BB, SR, and GR and our cosmology in general.
I'm also sure he knows we have heaps more to learn, and those at the coal face are gathering all the stuff and data necessary for physicists/cosmologists to make valid predictions.

Here's another link, Q+A type that gives a good simplistic explanation....

both types of galaxys exist in our universe, so it's not unreasonable to assume the universe can either be "flat" or globular.
our solar system seems to be laid out on "flat" basis, the rings of saturn, the orbits of the planets.
keep in mind that "flat" in relation to the universe doesn't mean 2d, an extreme elliptical shape would be more accurate.

I believe, since there is an universe where we live, there must be many more universes that we cannot see.
It is totally logical to think so.
If I can find a round pebble along the seaside, I expect to find more if I continue to walk along the seaside.

Actually, it is not logical to make an irrational guess, which is all you can do. Perhaps if you or anyone else actually had a clue as to what our universe actually was, then a guess could be made, but there is just no information, on which to even speculate. However as I said, this happens, because it sells books.
