start and stop as frequently as you can druing the one second of the 4:48 spot of the video. - First hint of the coming trouble is the exhaust plume grows a little fatter. That is not what I would expect to see after a "command destruct" was issued. Also I don't see any color change that Trippy referred to. More fuel released and burning would make the plume fatter as one of the first fraction of a second changes. With several tries, I think I froze at least 7 different "frames" in that one second.

The events I was referring to preceed the 4:48 spot of the video.

And? What's your point, precisely? Do you think the issued a command destruct before or after a fault arose.

 You're looking in the wrong place for a start, and I'm not 100% certain that a colour change is the most accurate description, however, there is a distinct change.

Plume thickness, as I recall is controled by the balance of atmospheric pressure and combustion chamber pressure. This is why plume thickness varies as the rocket ascends and why they have to change the throttle settings to control burn efficiency as the rocket ascends.

From the reported timing (14 seconds after takeoff) the range safety command wasn't sent until after the engine problem arose, and the vehicle stopped ascending.

Trippy asked: "Do you think the issued a command destruct before or after a fault arose."
I would assume "after" but am not certain there was any such "self destruct" command - I have not searched for one so there may have been.

If you were not referring to time 4:48 in the video, then when?
