Nice and smooth...awesome. The login even works better. One issue i see is perhaps a little more contrast in the response box and the rest of the page.

Strange, but I'm not sure that TeX is working in all subforums.

    Testing here.

    \(\oint \vec{E}\cdot d\vec{s} = -\frac{d\Phi_B}{dt}\)

Hmmm... what am I doing wrong? I'm using [tex][/tex] tags.

Edit: hmm... it seems that it doesn't render until you reload the page. Is that right?

Is there a page where we can see our infractions?

At the moment, no. But they are aware of the problem and are working on it.
I could PM you a screenshot of your page if you want.

It's either rendered using the fonts the browser has available, font's from the server or it uses images (to my knowledge) If you are seeing a delay in how long it takes to render it's likely down to your browser. (Firefox, Chrome and Safari are suppose to be natively supported. Internet Explorer is apparently slower and might not have native support, although I could be wrong)

It's been awhile sense I've posted here, but I already like this software upgrade. I got to liking the LIKE button in another forum. I'd like to see more people set up their new avatars or the same old ones. Anyway I haven't been doing much forum posting anywhere these days, because of other priorities but I will make an effort to throw in a post every now and then.

When I first selected an avatar I didn't want to keep, I checked the box to delete it and then was able to select a new one.

    Latex broken

    \(\int^b_a f(x)\,dx\)

    Umm, so why \(\int_V D(x,y,z,t) \,dV = \text{constant}\) didn't render in P&M

Rendering falls upon your browser. If it's not rendering then it will require a reload to cause it to parse. (Internet Explorer is known to be slow or cease responding with MathJax.) It's a post-process in the sense that the code for formatting is presented to your browser (e.g. in LaTeX) and the javascript works out how to handle it. If the javascript takes too long, or ceases functioning then it will not render correctly.

The only thing that defines where it is and isn't available on the site is where the MathJax .js file is embedded. It should be available across the whole site by default due to how it's been integrated.

How come when I post to a thread, it disappears from the new posts list??

I think it does that to everyone...
At least it does to me as well.

It is kind of annoying. Especially when using my phone. My phone only shows me the list of forums, and not the list of newest posts on the right hand side.

    Certainly better.
I just leave the entire link exposed since the new software is in place, that way it's obvious what links are. Esthetics suffer, but yeah..

I was banned and I couldn't log on. The ban list isn't shown if you're not logged on, so I couldn't look at it and find out the duration of time my ban was effective, if not permanent. I did not get an e-mail from the site explaining my ban period.

So when you get banned you have no clue as to the duration of time, you're just banned left to wonder why, and for how long. The why I don't really care about, as the "why" has never been a valid reason in the past, so I just figured there was no valid reason once again. The time is what I needed to know.

I'm sorry for that. Next time I ban someone I'll make sure to leave them a message (until this matter is resolved of course). Thanks for the feedback.
