Is there something wrong with Keanu? He seems to have the same muscle dystrophy that the Back To The Futury guy has...

    Or is he getting old?

He seems fine to me. He's 50. Maybe you haven't seen him in awhile.

So, anyway... why the hell is this in the UFO's, Ghosts and Monsters section??

Should I just change the title to the video title and move the thread to Free Thoughts?
Although, even for Free Thoughts, this would be a pretty pointless thread.

A prank, maybe, or carbon monoxide poisoning, but I'd go with memory bias.

Good pont... even tho MR's coment about it (This is interesting) complies wit rule 6b)...

6b) Posts made simply for the sake of sharing something interesting/"cool" must be labeled as such - these are making NO claim of paranormal activity and as such no debate is to be expected.

...an he just described what the video was about in the title... it still dont belong in the ghost forum... an it ant good enuff for free thouts ether... so i say:::

    ................................................ cesspool Cesspool CESSPOOL

    Edit:::
Ok... i admit it... i thout it was interestin to watch Keana Reeves tell his ghost story... but obvously... it still has no place in the ghost forum.!!!

Yes, clearly there's a difference of opinion / informal debate developing here over whether or not it is interesting. So: "If these turn into debates or flame wars, they will be shut down and cesspooled."

However, what options are there for avoiding this? Replacing This is interesting with Do you think this is interesting? could have been construed as outright introducing the topic as a proceeding of such. Rather than the contentiousness gradually / naturally arising in connection with the initial assertion. Also, it's not part of the "6b-purpose" to preliminarily submit an item in order to evaluate whether or not it is interesting -- but to submit something already opined to be fascinating.

The forum's function seems as vague or confused as ever (at least in the context of 6b). Apparently it's alright to place the infamous "ghost" word in the subject line to indicate being on-topic. But after that one must be constricted to skirting around certain features of the submitted item while expressing in "Find Waldo" fashion that "something deserving of attention can be located therein". Which then of course is still a personal conclusion ("interesting / cool") which can be disagreed with or disputed. Accordingly ----> Either a forbidden debate or a hissing, snarling, scratching stray-pets melée emerging.

I got a PM yesterday from James R telling me it is not sufficient to just post a link and call it interesting. So it looks like the infamous rule 6B may no longer be valid. He said I need to provide context and discuss it. Ofcourse if I discuss it as a paranormal occurrance I will then be tasked to prove it IS paranormal, as if I could provide some sort of sample of ectoplasm or something. Failing to do that, the thread will then be cesspooled. All in all, imo the ultimate end here is to end all posting of paranormal evidence in a forum dedicated to precisely that and so keep the skeptics content that there is no evidence.

A person's account of a paranormal experience is inherently interesting and newsworthy to the
general public. That's how I found out about it, on ABC News. That's the "purpose" of this thread, as it is with any interesting newsstory.

You don't have to prove it, just discuss it honestly.

Perhaps MR could come up with a standard disclaimer to begin all "Ghost" threads...

    Something like:

"Hey, guys, I just found this really kooky link where someone actually thinks they have evidence of paranormal activity! Now all us rational folks KNOW there is no such thing but I thought I would post it anyway so we can ridicule the subject matter AND the source. Doesn't that sound like fun?

Needless to say, I hold no truck with any paranormal phenomena - pshaw at the very thought"
Then the rest of us can all pontificate as to how ridiculous such credulous people are. Without breaking the rules...

I mean really, what do you expect someone to post in a "UFO's Ghosts and Monsters" subforum? It would seem self evident to me that anyone creating a thread here would usually be open to entertaining the existence of UFO's Ghosts and/or Monsters, no? Why give MR such a hard time? I find his threads entertaining at the very least...

Needless to say, I hold no truck with any paranormal phenomena - pshaw at the very thought...

I'm betting that you don't have a problem with post #17, Randy.

No, our posts actually crossed. I'm just jumping in because I have a soft spot for MR. I DO expect him to discuss topics honestly though, perhaps I missed something?
